I started using PayPal back when its web site address was www.x.com. While I haven't been fully pleased with every enhancement that eBay has incorporated into what PayPal has become today, it is still a great tool for buying and selling online. I too miss the sign up bonuses they used to give in the old days. One would think that they could still easily do this (and without raising their fees either). more

I love paypal, its make selling on ebay so easy. I have been using paypal for years and have only had one problem. A long time ago someone did a reversal on a credit card. Luckily I had information and got it straightened out. I like the way it ties in with your ebay stuff so you can easily track packages that you have sent. I think the fees are fair for all the uses it has. more

I sure do miss getting 5-10 dollars everytime you got someone to sign up, paypal has been around forever now and I'm sure glad they are. They act as a middle man when sending credit card payments to you and if people want their money back Paypal is great in determining the reasoning for a return to the buyer and has a protections policy on the seller as well as the buyer so you don't have to worry about the transaction. more

I have used paypal for about 3+ years now and do like it.I haven't had any problems with it, although I have heard afew horror stories. Basically it i as an online payment site. You sign up for an account,there are 2 kinds:personal and proffesional. You link your email address to your bank info through them. Personal accounts are free and you can use it to pay and recieve payments using your bank account. Proffessional allows you to accept credit cards- the fee here is small and per transaction, like 2% or something like that. When you pay someone, it takes it out of your account that you specify and sends it to the persons email account and vise versa when they pay you. To retrieve your money you log into your account with your email address and request payment. The biggest problems are phishers and bad sellers. For phishers you need to never click any email links requesting information. ALWAYS go directly to the site [ebay or paypal] andlog into your account that way and check any messages for you. There are people outthere who would loooove to convince you to click their links and enter your passwords so they can steal your financial info. No problem as long as you stay alert. Theother is badsellers on ebay-- for that pay attention to feedback scores to assess their trustability. Paypal will refund money sometimes if you are cheated, but its best to avoid the situation. more

I love using Pay Pal. I think they are the best. I love using Pay Pal for online purchases from eBay. If I don't, I find I worry more over my purchases until they come. I usually buy 10-15 things from eBay a month, and Pay Pal comes in handy. I love using them a lot. I think they are the best, except I think they still have problems. I am not use what all, but I think they are finally getting their act together. Pay Pal is free is you have a basic account. If you sell on eBay, you have to upgrade to another account. more

I think paypal is a great way to do business online. Its an easy way to make sure you get paid and you pay in a safe and efficient manner. And if you have just the basic account, it is free of charge too. I have had a bad experience with their customer service though. At one point, they locked my funds for over two months and I was unable to transfer or withdraw money. I called and emailed customer service repeatedly to have the problem resloved and it took them two months! How Slow! more

I was a bit hesitant to use paypal. I initially set it up to recieve funds and when I wanted to request funds it asked me to add by bank account or a credit card to it. I was a bit hesitant to put my bank account information on a website. But things turned out to be okay. I got my funds and there was no tampering with my account. They do charget fees though to transfer money to you either through a check or to your bank. I guess it is an efficient way to do business online, because at least you can trust paypal. more

Though we all pay to use Paypal, it is still a great way to send and receive money. One problem with Paypal is that if you have a problem you should wait for an off time during the day to call or you run the potential of waiting on hold for over a half an hour. This has actually happened to me. Other than that, the site is great. more
