Best

Pacha is killin it right now. Hottest international DJ's keep pouring in...I want to take a break but its tough when you see Mark Knight, Avicii, Kaskade, and then Afrojack, Laid...

Worst

The wait t oget in wasn't too bad, there were a ton of people there. I went when cosmic gate was playing. I dont know if the kind of people change depending on whose playing that ...

SHOULD NOT GO THERE 7/26/2006

We won't go there anymore! One time and only! Not like they put all the advertise about this club. The place is very urgly and very dark with an old decor. People derssdown and urgly, only the music is good. The place is ok, not huge with big 4 floors as we thought! We're not impress at all and will not go there again! Very disapointed!! more

All Hype but no big deal at all 6/16/2006

Went for the after work party happy hour. doors "should" open at 5pm where u are "supposed" to enjoy an open bar and buffet. Doors DONT open until 545pm where you have 15 mins to chow down and try to get a drink with the rest of the crowd. After that, prices are jacked up. Place was a rip off, too pricey, they dont open the main dancefloor except for weekends. Bouncers were mostly friendly but the door guy was a chump. Crowd is C list for sure with unshaven wannabe professionals. Looks like most of the crowd were turned down for a job and showed up here instead for a high priced drink. Wouldnt go back again! more

Horrible 4/25/2006

Extremely overpriced. Too loud. Sketchy crowd and very tacky overall. If you like house, the city has a lot more to offer. more

Big Techno Club 4/21/2006

I've been to Pacha twice after it first opened, once to check it out, second time for a friend's birthday. If you tell them it's your birthday you get free passes and a bottle of champange. The place is three floors with the main floor as the dancing area and where the DJ sits. Second and third floors overlook the main floor. Couch areas on the 2nd floor and two showers with highered dancers. 3rd floor is VIP. The DJs played mostly techno music both times. The place can get crowded later in the night, but never really full. You have to be really into the techno club scene to like this place Pros: free w/ passes Cons: mostly techno music, not many people more

Great Place 3/24/2006

I received 4 free passes being on the email list, so 8 of us went (all of our first time). We went early (about 11) to check the place out as it filled up. By 1am there was a pretty good crowd - but not packed (or busy enough to open the upper 2 floors) The music was very good, a lot of variation (of house dance music), great sound system. The staff attractive & plentiful, the bouncers pleasant & presence known - but no problems. The crowd was varied - all having a good time. Pros: lots of space, great sound system, great staff Cons: not enough people more

What a Disappointment! 2/21/2006

For $40 I expected a much better club than there was. It was a nice decor, but when you let people in wearing anything it brings the aesthetics down. The DJ was horrible the night I went. Drinks were average price but much more watered downthan normal. I don't recommend spending so much money on such an average club. Pros: cute decor Cons: boring, expensive, easy door more

B&T alert! 2/14/2006

I went to Pacha after a fashion week party thinking it was the new hot spot....BIG mistake! Not only were my friends and I the only well-dressed people in there but it was full of B&Ts!!! The place is way too big, music is way too loud, and you can lose your friends easily. The girls in the shower are only an addition to the overall tackiness of this place. Take my advice...if you are a west chelsea regular...stay away from this place....you dont want to mix with this crowd! Pros: Easy to get in Cons: Crowd, Loud music, trashy atmosphere more

Terrible time 2/11/2006

Went to see morillo on friday - this place is a joke. overcrowded - overhyped - not a good time. if you want to fight at the coat check and stand on top of everyone - even with tables - go here. ill steer elsewhere next time thanks. more

A pretty good club, fun for people who like house 2/5/2006

The place is not a bad club if you dont mind hauling all the way over to the west side for it. Large space. The main floor is nice w ur standard go go dancers in front of the dj booth. The second floor is purely to watch and overlook the people on the main floor who couldnt afford the bottle service and but the highest floor is the place to be. Hot go go girls dance in the showers and everyone has a good time. Only downside for me was that it played house all night on every floor and that the drinks were being served in warm glasses that I guess jus got washed? At least they wash it right? Otherwise not a bad club. Pros: Decor, Go Go dancers, Large space Cons: House music all night, Warm glasses more

Good Times, Good Times 1/27/2006

I went and had a good time. I thought it would be too big, but when I was there, I never felt like I was in a stadium, except on the dancefloor which was cool. We had a table and were able to chill and it was not overcrowded and annoying. Music and AMAZING. Went up to Pachita, but the music was better downstairs. Overall we had a great nite. Will be back. Pros: Music, Scene Cons: Bouncers more

O & O: Overpriced and Overhyped 1/26/2006

Disappointing. I went saturday night last week dressed up thinking it was going to be a chic place. I should've known better. Most people were underdressed in windbreakers and jeans. Inside, there is only one main room which is HOUSE. There is no other alternative music. I paid $30 for cover, $4 for coat check; and seeing the place, I left in 5 min. So please don't make the same mistake as me thinking there is multiracial and diverse crowd. Once of the too-friendly bouncers in the club told me that there's another room downstairs with hip hop- i didn't see it because he was referring to the coat check room which had weird music coming out of the speakers. This place is a joke. If you love House--then please disregard this review. If you love to dance to hip hop, pop and reggae/dress to impress--kiss this place goodbye. Pros: none Cons: PRICE, one type of crowd more

NYC MUST GO!!!! Don't go by the negative reviews 1/18/2006

Club Pacha has been a great addition to NYC. I was there opening night as well and it was a little hectic as any opening of places usually are. I went back the weekend after and my friends and I had an amazing time. Pacha has more than one level with different music playing which I thought was great. You can easily find a floor that is playing music to your liking. I go as a regular to many of the hotspots in nyc, and this place is up there. I have been going to this place frequentlyand I haven't gotten sick of it . I always have a great time. This place is good for people who want to have fun. Pros: music, attractive staff, good service more

Coat check problems 1/14/2006

$4 dollars a piece?? you gotta be kidding. ATM machine $7. that's way too expensive especially when you close 4am. However, the music was great. more

Not the same as European joints 1/14/2006

Having gone to Pacha in Ibiza and Munich, I was expecting big things of its arrival in NYC. However, I was quite disappointed. I agree with the previous reviewer - its only a good place to go if you like house music. The downstairs dance room is spacious but it doesnt really stand out from any other club. The Pacha in Munich was incredible with both an indoor section and outdoor space that had jacuzzi's and a path that wound around a mini-lake. You could also find celebrities hanging out there all the time. If you can get comp admission before 12, Pacha is worth a visit, but you have to wait till after 1 for the real crowd to arrive. If you're looking for a good dance club and lounge together, its hard to beat Crobar more

Pacha = you must love House music. 1/1/2006

Pacha is a straight dance club. Most of the patrons follow the top DJ's from club to club (part-owner Eric Morillo and Carl Cox for example). The main floor is spacious for all the House music lovers. The mezzanine is a place to people watch and is a little more mellow than the near-rave downstairs. The crowd on these two levels is a mix- I would say more B&T than beautiful. Now top-floor Pachita is what I liked--more of the weekday Meatpacking District crowd with Hip/Hop and Pop and less nnnts--nnnts--nnnts. Also, top floor has its own coat check. I heard basement coat check is a disaster. My friends and I all had a great time and it was worth it to check it out, but unless I could go back to Pachita, the club is too Electronica, 90's club-kid for me. Pros: Pachita Cons: Too big, Coat check, Crowd more

Over-rated 12/26/2005

I guess it shouldn't really matters where you party at- as long as you are in good company... but even though the company I was in was decent, Pasha still sucked. The music was too trancy/raveish for my taste, the people were eurotrash/b&t, and there was no where else to go/leave to that wasn't across town or downtown. I love going out but if my only option was to go to Pasha, I'd go to bed early. Cons: crowd, music, location more

Pacha has done it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12/13/2005

Yes I know opening night was a little crazy. But there has to be something about 2000 people waiting outside to get in. A couple of the kinks have to be worked out. When you get down to it the music is what gets me going. If house music is what you want then PachNY is the place to be. I have been to Ibiza and that was great. Pacha NY is the next best thing. I will be there every weekend. Don't listen to the rumors.SCM Pros: Good Music, Nice Crowd Cons: Coat Check more

Pacha-tively disappointing 12/11/2005

this place is certainly not out for the high customer service scores. i had something taken from my purse at a private party there, and they immediately blamed me! the manager and staff were unhelpful and flat out rude. Not a good way to be when the drinks are overpriced and the space is dirty and gross anyway. Oh, and don't check you're coat... over 15 people at my company had things missing from their pockets at the end of the night. My Rating: Don't Bother. more

HORRIBLE OPENING NITE, DIDN'T GET IN AFTER PAYING 12/11/2005

12/09/05 @ 10pm was opening night for Pacha. They sold tickets online starting from $30 to get entrance. We got there at 10:30pm and waited online in the freezing cold (there was ice/snow from the day) for 2 hours!!! After waiting for 2 hours, the cops came and closed the place down. The management & bouncers were screaming at us to leave and they didn't care about giving us a refund. It was the worst club experience ever. more

  • In Short
What began in Ibiza and blazed through 25 cities worldwide has finally surfaced in Manhattan. The four-floor maze of staircases--decked with palm trees, army-green tarp canopies and mosaic-mirror hand symbols to ward off evil--conjures a mystical temple in the tropics. Go-go girls in bikinis grind against each other in steamy red-lit showers, while clubbers get carnal beside a shattering sound system that blares beats from top international DJs--including part-owner Erick Morillo.
