Onpoint Community Credit Union

THIEVES!!!! I was 12 months away from paying off my loan for my car when I called to check the balance. Well lo and behold I had 15 late fees on my account over the past two years!!! I HAVE MY PAYMENT AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED EACH MONTH!!! The idiotic teller didn't even realize that I had extra fees till I asked for the balance and they added on the $500 and 5 extra months of payments!!! DO NOT BANK WITH THESE THEIVES!!! more

When I was in need of a small loan I had a small loan under $200 and when I had paid it off I saw no change in the loan balance. Well this was because they posted two loans and never showed that I had a balance double of what I had originally asked for. The only reason I found out about their mistake is when they sent me notices that I was past due on a loan I had never agreed to take out. Everyone at the Kruse Way branch just passed the buck and never took any action to rid me of their threats of sending me to collections. This is has taken over two months to sort out due to their HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. OnPoint is just a wolf in sheep's clothing. IMO they are no different than any other greedy large bank who feel they never make any mistakes they just have mistaken customers. Right? more

I have never, ever been so disappointed in the sheer lack of good customer service anywhere...except maybe Walmart. Onpoint Credit Union does not care about new customers or servicing their existing customers. more

Beware of On Point which really is Country Wide Lending. They are ruthless sharks. I got sick and got a few months behind on my mortage and they gave me no options and forclosed. They did this because I had a large amount of equity and they made about $200,000 profit in the sale of my home. Now I'm homeless and they made a profit doing it. They could have worked with me and gave me options. I was five years away from paying this house off. more

I agree with the above posts. PTCU was a great credit union that provided good and fair service. OnPoint thinks it is a bank. Their president must have worked for B of A or something. They go out of their way to be clever and predatory with their fees and fines. There online bill payment is slow and expensive. If a member complains about the management they will close their account so they no longer have a voice as a member. Stay away from OnPoint. Cons: predatory bank more

When this credit union was Portland Teachers, (and under the previous CEO), the members were cared for, respected, treated with dignity, and it did not matter who you were. Now, that it's OnPoint, with a diffrent CEO, who has pulled numerous people over from outside banks, it has become the worst credit union to bank at. Workers are rude, especially the Beaverton Manager and Beaverton Supervisor, they wont refund NSF fees, they sit at their desks and do nothing when the lobby is terribly busy. I could go on and on. Bottom line, any other credit union but that one!! Pros: there are none, bank somewhere else Cons: everything more

I have never felt less appreciated from a bank, and I have dealt with the big banks for most of my adult life. The phone center is both time consuming and ineffective. I had a teller, after almost twenty minutes on hold, tell me that I should be pleased with the inadequate solution she gave me to my problem. That was after she conferred with management twice. Pros: Local banking, somewhat competitive rates Cons: Argumentative phone tellers, inefficient internet service, hidden fees, poor locations more

OnPoint has extremely rude member services professionals, managers included. Take your business elsewhere. I was with OnPoint for over ten years and they treated me like dirt the first time I called member services about a NSF charge that was wrongly charged to my account. more
