A friend recently told me about this store called Once Upon a Child, located near Burlington Coat Factory off of Wadsworth and Bowles in Littleton. I was excited to go and see if I could find some gently-used clothes for my daughter.
When I went there, I found out that the store buys gently-used children's clothes, toys, furniture, etc. from anyone and pays cash, check, or store credit the same day.
So I brought some of my daughter's old clothes, and 45 minutes later I walked out with cash in my pocket. I am thrilled about being able to bring the items we no longer want and getting paid for it!
The store is jam-packed with baby furniture, books, videos/DVDs, hair-bows, shoes, clothes, and toys for kids newborn to size 12.
The prices that I saw on items seemed to be higher than thrift stores like Goodwill, for instance, but that's probably because the quality selection is so much higher than Goodwill's. Once Upon a Child only accepts items that are in great condition, so they won't accept items with the tiniest stain even.
Things were neat, tidy, and well-organized. And the ladies working there were really friendly (although the store was really busy both times I've been in).
