Came here recently because my co-worker referred me. Everything seemed great at first, pleasant receptionist and a visiting stylist from another salon sat and chatted with me while I was waiting for my appointment to start. I was at first a little dismayed by the fact that the waiting area was so small and seemed almost like a doctor's office, but I was hoping the results of my hair would overshadow that.
So when Omar finally made time to see me, he was very friendly and cordial at first and I thought I was really in for something special! Then I saw him interacting with his other customers and started to worry if maybe he was like an abusive relationship, you know? Nice at the beginning to reel you in, and then an a$$hole once he has you caught. I very specifically came in for JUST color. But before I knew it, I'm getting a haircut. Honestly, I don't know that I ever even agreed to one but suddenly he's chopping my long hair into tons of layers!!
My panic was clear and his totally flippant and rude response was ""its the hair left on your head that matters."" Once the traumatic cut was finished he didn't really even allow me to see it, and instead went straight to highlighting my hair, putting in a lot more foils than i'd expected. by this time i was afraid my hair would turn out white-blonde which i specifically did not ask for, and also i can plainly see that he is RUDE. Rude to his customers, booking several at a time and acting as if our time isnt nearly as important as his, and rude to his employees.
after my highlights he made his assistant apply color on my hair, never telling her what to do or when to do until the last minute so he could have complete control and make it clear that he is in charge. she was very friendly and obviously cared a lot more about my hair and about all the other people but she seriously acted like she lived in fear of her boss. why he manages to have a nice receptionist, assistant and shampoo woman i have no idea. he must pay well, because he's a CREEP
once my color was washed out, omar came over to the shampoo bowl and told me how beautiful it looked, but once it was dry my hair was completely PLATINUM. i had a platinum mullet and i felt horrible asking it, but i had to make all those people stay late because there was no wayi could be seen in public with hair like that
finally he ""fixed"" t and by that time it was after 10pm. i was exhausted and just wanted to go home, mind you my appointment started at 3:30. and honestly the hair is still not good, and i've even gone back into fix it and i still feel cheated. all his services are ala carte which is something i have not experienced since i went to fantastic sam's when i was 12. all in all over $300 so that i can cry over how bad my hair looks
terrible place, please do not go here.
Pros: nice assistants, plenty of parking
Cons: everything else, esp. omar's ATTITUDE
