Good food but very loud.... 4/3/2006

I have eaten at Old Chicago several times and we absolutely love the artichoke dip with the veggies. Their calazones and the oriental sesame chicken salad are also two of my favorites! One time our order did happen to get missed and the staff and management was super cool about compensating us for the error. We were given free lunch that day and gift certificates for a future visit. Their service definately went above and beyond despite their error! more

Got beer 4/3/2006

Old Chicago isn't the best restaurant in Boise, although it is consistent and offers a great variety that would please almost everyone in a group. They offer delicious pizzas and calzones, as well as pastas, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. But the main reason to go to Old Chicago is the beer! With over 100 beers, I can't think of any place in Boise with a greater selection. Plus they have a beer club which is free to join which offers you prizes as you complete your tour of beers. If you are hungry and broke, from PM-midnight they have happy hour appetizers, and you can fill your belly with cheesy bread sticks, mini pizzas, wings, fries, and other delights for only a couple of dollars. more

Beer and Burgers 3/26/2006

If you're looking for a relaxed meal Old Chicago is probably the best place in the Boise Towne Square area. They primarily offer Chicago-style (thick crust) pizza. But they also offer a range of burgers and sandwiches and pasta as well. What pleases me the most, though, are the friendly servers. No matter how crowded it gets (and it can get full during lunch and dinner hours over the weekend, though the wait isn't long), the wait-staff still manages to be attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is casual and adults will definitely want to sign up for the Beer Tour and sample all 110 different beers available. For basic casual "American" food, Old Chicago BTS is awesome. more

Old Chicago 3/26/2006

Old Chicago has really delicious pizza (especially the Double Deckeroni) and calzones. They also have things like salads, pasta, and hamburgers. The prices are pretty standard so it's worth going to. The prices for mixed drinks are a bit higher than usual so you should probably just stick to the beer. The cool thing is they have over 100 beers! You can also sign up for free to join the beer tour and you get prizes along the way depending on how many beers you've tried. Another good thing about the place is that they don’t stop serving food till midnight 7 days a week. After midnight the bar is still opened till 2 am. more
