Oakhurst Mobile Home Park

I lived in Oakhurt in the early 1990s and left in 1993. When I was a kid. It was not a good area at all. We lived in a pretty beat up trailer on Big Horn Drive. Gone now, but an older blue and white trailer that sat next to it is still there. We lived directly across the street from the park. As a kid I got pushed off the top of a slide (when one was still standing). Drove through it today and the last time I was there was 1996 visiting a friend. By my experience as a kid I would not recommend the place at all. I went through it today for memories. Only to remember the only two friends I ever had there (on by the name of Joe Hyatt and other by John Alexander). I would honestly only recommend this place if it's a last resort. My parents and I moved in there in 1985, when it was a great neighborhood. When the Hanover Group took over that's when the crap started. They don't care about people, they care about money. When we got a good deal we moved out, no looking back. Do not even consider this place, a homeless shelter would be better. Pros: Brownsburg Schools Cons: everything else more

I lived here 3 years and one of their trees fell through our trailer, We had the insurance that they insisted we carry through them. The estimates to fix it was 5,ooo their insurance only wanted to pay 300. They expected us to have a piece of sheet metal put up there even though it damaged the structure and go on. Needless to say we argued a long time and then gave up and moved on. Meanwhile we saw while we lived there how things work. They will take a couple of thousand down and then let you live there a year or so then they start picking at everything till they run you out even if your a good renter so they can resale and get someone elses down. I saw this happen to so many good people while we lived there that I feel the need to let everyone know to be leary. They did indeed put just a piece of sheet metal on our old home and resold it. So please be aware of their ethics!!!!! Cons: they only want your downpayment money more
