Very incompetent. Poor beyond belief customer service!!! Paid $400 for a dishwasher repair. Was told I needed a new heater. Got a new heater from them, dishwasher still doesn't work! Googled online how to fix the exact dishwasher and am fixing it myself. Please run away as fast as possible from these crooks! Horrible waste of money for a service that was never needed in the first place! Again, run fast, away from Oak Hill Crooks Appliance! The owner Tyler Webb is a real tool also! more

won't be calling them again! 2/11/2012

I called Oak Hill Appliance because my dishwasher wasn't coming on. The repairman pointed out that the electricity to the dishwasher had for some reason become interrupted,. He said he couldn't fix it - I'd have to call an electrician - then he billed me $81. I mailed in a check for $40, saying that seemed sufficient to cover the cost of his 10-minute drive to my house, adding that $81 seems an excessive amount to charge for a service call during which no service is performed. The company continued to bill me, threatening me with a "mechanic's lien." I paid the balance, but obviously won't be calling them again! more

Disappointed service 12/29/2009

We requested Oak Hill Appliance to fix our dryer. The repairmen came out on a Friday and claimed to fix the problem. Later that day, the dryer was hot to touch, although we had not used it. The repairman came out the following day and said he fixed the problem, but it could also be part of another problem, but he was not sure. So, I'm out $200 in repairs and a dryer that still did not work. I called their office to speak to a manager. I was informed the owner was not in, but she would call me back as soon as she arrived back in the office. I never received a return call. I'd recommend trying another company before you call these folks. Cons: Poor repair and no follow-up more

Great Service! 10/16/2009

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer that continued to spin, but not dry my clothes. I went on the internet looking for solutions to my problem. After a little research I was convinced that it was either the thermal fuse, cut-off switch or the heating element not working. I found a diagram for my particular machine and was ready to begin taking off parts. I called up Oak Hill Appliance and spoke to a nice lady who told me to bring in the thermal fuse, thermal cut-off and the heating element and she would check them out. She explained to me that given my symptoms that it was probably the thermal cut-off, which of course it was. I arrived at the service counter and she immediately checked the parts, got me my new parts and off I went 3 minutes later. Saved me at least $120 on a service call and I have the personal satisfaction of having done it myself. Thank God for the internet and Oak Hill Appliance...I couldn't be happier! Pros: Friendly Professional Expedient Service more

Disappointed Regarding Cost and Service 5/19/2009

Our GE high-efficiency dryer, which has not been a reliable dryer for us, has needed several repairs. We used Oak Hill Appliance a couple of years ago for warranty repair. Although it took awhile to get the correct part, the service technician was friendly and got our dryer up and running. When our dryer stopped heating up last week, we went ahead and called Oak Hill Appliance since they helped us before and they are a family-owned business. Pros: Friendly tech Cons: Long time to repair, miscommunication regarding cost more

This is a top notch repair company. 9/18/2008

Oak Hill Appliance has come to my rescue several times over the past 15 years. I have had them repair my washing machine, range and dryer over the years. All repairs were done promptly, courteously and at a fair price. I have purchased parts from them to do my own repairs a number of times. Sometimes they had the parts in stock, other times they went out of their way to find them for me quickly. One time my refrigerator died the Friday before labor day weekend. I diagnosed the problem to be with the thermal protector for the compressor. OHA went out of their way to find me a replacement part and saved me a fridge full of food. Their communications and follow up were outstanding. Their prices were always reasonable (and I check against the internet). When I think of all the various repair shops I've dealt with (cars, roof, a/c, etc) over the years, this is definitely one of the best run operations I've seen. Always professional, honest and fair in my experience. I highly recommend them. Pros: Highly knowledgable, honest, prompt, fair price. more

Outstanding Service 6/19/2008

Very impressed with this repair shop. Great customer service from start to finish. Person who took my call was very friendly and asked specific questions. Service tech came out the next day and had the parts on his truck to repair my dryer in one visit. Would highly recommend them. Pros: Great customer service more

Bad Service 4/11/2008

I would not recommend this site. I called this company to repair the thermostat on my refrigerator. more

Great Experience 3/12/2008

The lady who took my call was really friendly and helpful, they set me up for an appointment right away and the guy who came out fixed my washer on the same trip - on a Saturday, for no extra charge! I was referred to Oak Hill Appliance by a neighbor who has been using them for ten plus years and I'll never even consider calling anyone else! Pros: friendly, helpful, Saturday service Cons: I didn't realize how much gas prices have affected in home repair service, but it was worth it. more

Don't use them 2/25/2008

Undependable, bad service. I recently used them. and never will again. It took over a week for them to fix the problem with my dishwasher. Service man did not show up for 3 scheduled visits and never called to say he was not coming. It was a very frustrating experience. On top of that, their prices for repair were outrageous. more
