O'Gorman's West Town Auto Service

Women BEWARE! This so called auto service locale is your typical ""Let's rip off women"" type of place. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted at the thought of how much I would have spent had I not had a second opinion. I recently dropped my car off to have a howling noise looked at. About 2 hours later I received a call where the costs seemed terribly high for just a slight noise but then again, what do I know? That's why you go to the expert, right? At any rate, I declined the services and took my car elsewhere. To my dismay, O'Gorman Auto Service mechanics recommended parts be replaced that had no business being replaced. 1. Serpentine belt. According to the estimate, it was cracked and needed to be replaced. When double checked, the belt was like new-NO REPLACEMENT NEEDED! 2. Water Pump was leaking. The water pump was not leaking, it was the condensation frm the A/C! 3. Air & Cabin Filter needed to be replaced but I MYSELF had replaced the air filter the day before and the cabin filter was replaced 6 months ago. My car needed an alternator, which they did have on the estimate as well. Makes me wonder if these mechanics take pride in their work or if they're proud of providing an estimate of over $800 for fictional work. \r I would NOT recommend this place not in the least bit! It's a relief knowing that I knew better than to trust such an outrageous quote but others may not be as lucky. Hope this review can deter anyone from thinking they can trust O'Gorman or their employees. \r more

We have always appreciated the service at O'Gorman's. Each time that we bring our vehicles there, we are treated fairly and they complete the work promptly. The most recent time that we went there, Mary suggested that we try doing a couple things differently to see if the issue we were having would go away, rather than charge us to look at our vehicle. Now adays it is quite difficult to find an honest garge especially in the metro-Milwaukee area with the skill and service to satisfy my needs, but when it comes to O'Gorman's they are quite frankly the best in town. The customer service exhibited by this business is extraordinary. They are willing to help me anyway they can. I truly appreciate working with this father/son business. It shows me how the family is really important to them and their business. They make the repair process, which can typically be stressful at other repair shops, a very easy and pleasant one there. O'Gorman's is number one for auto repair in the Milwaukee area, I brought my 1999 Jimmy suv in which had all kinds of electrical problems which no other place could figure out and everybody charged alot of money for diagnostics. O Gorman's figured out the problem right away, they are very knowledgeable and charged a fair price for their work. I had two sensor problems, it wasn't a major problem after all. I had them replace my water pump, spark plugs and perform a oiil change. They did the water pump, but didn't do the oil change or replace the spoark plugs, but I got charged for them. Luckly i checked my oil filter after I got home and saw the date on it from my last oil change at Quick Lube. Then i took out my spark plugs and they were still the old dirty ones. I called them and all they said was ""Opps, bring it back in and we'll finish."" If I didn't check it, I would've ever of known.
