Having been to O-Bar a few times before, and liking it, my friends and I decided to go back this weekend. We get to the door and there is about 20 people waiting in line. Not too bad, its a nice place and worth the wait, right? Well, not this time. The line didn't seem to move yet people kept walking past us and getting in. VIPs, or so I thought. After waiting for close to an hour, we get to the front of the line and the bouncer lets half of our group in and leaves three of us waiting in line for another half hour. It was then that I noticed what was really going on at the door. People would walk up to the bouncer, shake hands, pass some folded bills in the handshake and walk in. The bouncer would then transfer the cash to his left hand and slip it in his pocket. I have seen a number of bad reviews here that point to mainly poor management so I doubt this practice will change. So next time I think of going to O Bar, I will have to decide between waiting in line, bribing bouncer or walking away.
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Poor service
