We went to Nobu with high expectations about the innovative cuisine and the elegant decor. Indeed, the restaurant is attractive in a spare & minimal way. However, the environment was disappointing -- more of a brash & noisy Vegas high-rollers' place, than the subtle, subdued establishment we were expecting. The food was good -- tasty yellowtail sashimi, elegant (but not spectacular) sushi, interesting (but somewhat overrated) ""cod in miso sauce"" -- their signature dish. Service was attentive, tho it did tend towards the ""Fries with that..."" up-sell approach that we'd seen elsewhere in Vegas.
All in all, quite an enjoyable meal, but very overrated & not a match for our Nobu expectations!
(And obviously, once you leave the restaurant, you are returned to the din of the Hard Rock Hotel casino -- very disorienting!)
Pros: Attractive surrounds, Cocktails, Good sushi/sashimi
Cons: Ambience, Cost
