My wife, 4 and 2 year old are always made to feel welcome and at home. Nick always has smiles for my children and picks them up all the time. While we have not tried every dish, what we have tried across 7 years of dining has been excellent. Bread comes to the table shortly after being seated. The house dressing on the salad while occasionally varying is wonderful. The chicken parmesan is excellent and very filling. My wife is partial to the chicken romano. While we are not world travelers we have had our share of Italian food all over the world. We love Nick?s and can?t say we have ever had a bad meal or a bad experience. The prices are average if not cheaper than most chain Italian places. There are some things you should consider before going. While the customer is always right. If you are the kind of person that thinks the world revolves around you and your family you might be in for a wakeup call. While that old adage should be true, when your family is too loud or too obnoxious, then you lose the privilege of being right. Nick?s is a small, quaint, fine restaurant. While the noise level can rise on busy evenings, there are some tables that rise above the level of acceptable and can be asked to leave. While some might see an old house converted into an Italian food joint. The quality of food, the cozy atmosphere, and the excellent service rank it among many fine dining restaurants. Ask yourself would Morton's, The Palm, or Pino's allow you and your family to be unruly. Would those places not say anything to you? If you want to be oblivious go to Olive Garden or McDonalds where kids can run around and play. While Nick?s may not have the appearance of a posh fine dining establishment, you can see by Nick?s attitude and the attitude of people that dine there often. They all feel it is more of an upscale experience which warrants upscale manners not McDonalds manners. Wake up and smell the garlic people. Ever think the problem might be you??
