Over Priced Pizza and Worst/Rude Service!!\r \r This is a neighborhood pizza with no competition in the area. Pizza is ok at best, pasta is over cooked, mushy and bland. I only go cause my kids like their cheese pizza.(not too hard to mess up) BTW everytime I get their lg cheese pizza the price fluctuates between $1.00 to $2.50, depending on who serves you. And the service or should I say lack there of, is by far the worst I have ever received. Rude!!!! more

First Time At Nick & Elena's 3/12/2012

My wife and I decided to try this local pizza place as we enjoyed a rare Saturday night off. When we entered we were seated quickly and our server welcomed us and answered all our questions.\r \r My wife loved the salad, and the pizza while not being my all time fave was in the top three. The prices were very reasonable and the place reminded me a lot of the types of places my parents took me to when I was growing up.\r \r The only negative thing I would say is that family members were making boxzes at the next table and holding conversations with other family members while young children ran around the buliding hopping from table to table and were loud at times. (I would have taken these duties to the empty banquet room IMO).\r \r All in all a wonderful time though and we will be back soon and bring our friends. GREAT JOB GUYS AND THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Best Pizza & Salad Combo in St.Louis 5/7/2010

My family and I have been frequenting this establishment for years. It's always a great experience. I recommend starting with the Italian salad and moving to the Special pizza. This a common recommendation, I know. But it lives up to the hype. We almost never get anything else. And, for a large salad and pizza, you'll end up spending around $20 plus tip.\r \r One of the greatest things about Nick and Elena's is their late hours. Fantastic for people who might not get off work until 9 or 10pm. It's true the family is there more often at night, but that's part of the experience. It's a family-run business. If the family isn't working, they're enjoying. And I'd much rather have the owner's family at the next table than wait for a table during rush hours.\r \r I'll be planning my wedding shortly, and I'm seriously considering a reception in their banquet room. Pros: quality, value, and hours of operation Cons: occasional crowds more

Loved it 15 years ago, glad to see the Open sign. 2/1/2010

I went a few times before I moved away in 97'. Loved it, glad it is still around. Whoo hoo!!! Pros: Great Salad and Pizza. more

AWESOME FOR THE FAMILY 11/21/2009

I LOVE EVERYTHING IN HERE EXCEPT THE RED SAUCE AND I DO NOT LIKE A LOT OF THE ITALIAN RESTURANTS AROUND HERE. Pros: VERY AWESOME Cons: I DO NOT LIKE THE RED SAUCE more

Best Pizza in St. Louis, PERIOD!!! 8/11/2009

This place has been around for 30+ years for a reason... THEY HAVE THE BEST PIZZA IN ST.LOUIS!!! They also have FANTASTIC salads and pastas. This place is TRUE authentic Italian food. Our family has also had several events held in their private banquet area. Affordable, high quality food... what more could you ask for in a restaurant? Pros: Best friggin Pizza in St. Louis!!! Cons: NONE!!! more

Italian pizza all the way 6/3/2009

Nick and Elena's Pizzeria is an authentic Italian kitchen there is no doubt! If you enjoy pizza you'll LOVE this place. PLEASE don't just take my word. Try it for yourself. I live in St. Peters Mo. and drive to Overland JUST for pizza from Nick and Elena's. Pros: THE BEST pizza I have tasted. more

Best Italian Food Ever 5/8/2009

Nick & Elana's is the best Italian food anywhere in St. Louis. If you have eaten Authentic Italian, you will agree this is the best. From Pizza to Meatballs to Red sauce to Fried Chicken you won't find any better. It is truly a Family oriented restaurant, that's what we love. We have always been made to feel part of the family. Pros: Family orinated, love the atmosphere. Cons: I hate sitting in the back room. Love the main room more

Great Pizza! Great Food! If you can stand the terrible service. 2/22/2009

Ive been a fan of Nick and Elena's pizza for years. The pizza is my favorite in the St. Louis area. The supreme pizza is phenomenal. I am not a fan of the service. The employees are rude. The service is horrible. If this were a one time occurrence, I wouldn't complain, but my last three times in the restaurant, I felt as I they didn't want my business. I brought a friend in from Florida, and he couldn't believe how rude the waitress was, I would recommend getting the pizza to go. Pros: food is amazing Cons: service is horrible, employees rude more

Yes...it is that good. 12/17/2008

I do think that this is some of the best pizza in the world, but readers should know that this is blue-collar pizza, in a blue-collar pizza place. There's nothing gourmet or foo-foo about it. Its the antithesis of California Pizza Kitchn. They actually use canned onions; but that is a good thing because it the onion flavor actually holds up to all the other toppings (on the Supreme. You HAVE to get the Supreme!) Thin crust, provel cheese.\r \r The salad is the same. Awesome but not fancy;iceburg lettuce, provel, and other toppings if you get the 'fancy' salad. The Iti dressing is LOADED with garlic and freakin' delicious. \r \r This is an actual FAMILY restaurant, where all the employees are in the same family. And the family members that aren't working are hanging out at a 3-4 tables pushed together. And yes, sometimes there are a bunch of kids running around that sometimes talk to the customers, but that is part of the fun.\r \r Go late on Friday or Saturday nights..they are open REALLY late, and not crowded after 8. \r \r Pros: Pizza Cons: atmosphere....if you're a snob. more

Great Pizza, forget Imo's 11/27/2008

The pizza and the salad are excellent. The cheese used on both are muy delicious. Mucho Gusto. My family goes out to eat at this restaurant at least twice a month and have been doing this for many years. Pros: Very good pizza, they have a seperate dining area for large groups. Cons: limited parking. Takes a bit of time for food to come out. more

Average pizza 11/20/2008

My friends and I went to Nick & Elena's based upon previous recommendations on this site and how disappointed we were! We found it shocking that someone would drive 35 miles for this pizza. Our table ordered one of the St Louis style and one of the New York style, both were average. The greatest disappointment for me was the salad. Previous reviewers made it a ""must get."" WHAT? It was soggy iceberg with an overwhelming olive oil dressing. I would never again bother with the salad. I won't say I'll never go back there, but I certainly won't go out of my way. Pros: family owned, with kids running around and socializing with the guests Cons: family owned, with kids running around and socializing with the guests more

Absolutely The best pizza ever 2/8/2008

Nick and Elena's is my family's favorite restaurant. My husband grew up in Overland and has been going there for years. The pizza is the best ever and we have friends in Oklahoma who request we bring a few ""half-baked"" pizzas everytime we visit. The salad is wonderful and one of a kind. I have never been in there and not seen Nick and/or Elena who always say hi and the rest of the staff is always friendly. They now have a large room perfect for a group get together. If you haven't tried it, do soon. They are open for lunch on Fridays. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Not Just Amazing Pizza! 7/28/2007

I agree that Nick and Elena's serves some of the best pizza in Saint Louis. The use of oregano and parmesan is perfect for the thin crust, which is always crisp. But what I really enjoy at this restaurant is their special salad. A homemade house dressing, obviously an Italian style, compliments the cheeses and meats perfectly, and gives the lettuce tons of flavor. The salad is a large portion, enough for two hungry people, or even a large family, to share. The salad has the option of anchovies, which you can also have served on the side. Personally I do not enjoy them, but people tell me the saltiness of the fish is a great compliment to all of the other flavors. This salad is a meal in itself, in fact, it could feed and fill two people. Do not pass up this menu item. It is delicious and is also a great starter before your slice of delicious, crisp, hot, thin crust pizza. Pros: Great Food And Service At An Affordable Price. Cons: Limited Parking. more

Best pizza of all time 6/29/2006

I almost wish I never ate their pizza. Because now their pizza is all I ever think about. It is hands down the best pizza I have ever had. I don't think I have ever written a review, and I feel a little wierd doing it... but I am in awe of this pizza. I'm not sure if words can explain just how good it is. Just go try it... thats all I got to say. Pros: Best pizza I have ever had. Cons: You'd have to be kind of nit-picky to say something bad. more

BEST AROUND 10/8/2003

I know people who drive for miles just to have this pizza. It is the absolute best around. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the food is just superb. I give it a 10+ and would suggest anyone who hasn't tried it, to make it your next pizza, even if it is out of your way. You will be glad you did. Pros: Worth the Wait Cons: Okay parking more

BEST PIZZA 7/24/2003

If you have never been to Nick and Elena's Pizzeria you are missing out. If you think Imo's is good, just wait until you try Nick and Elena's pizza. This is, in my honest opinion, the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. I have never gotten a cold pizza, or a burnt one, or anything other than perfect. Give it a shot. You be glad ya did. Pros: amazing pizza, friendly workers, decent prices more
