I am a regular customer of this used book establishment. I love this place. I love the smell of old books when you open the door, and the wide variety of books they offer, including CDs, DVDs and Records! It is totally worth your time just to stop by and browse. :) Pros: Large selection, great prices and friendly staff Cons: None more

Vintage albums 2/10/2009

Nice Price Books, located down from NCSU on Hillsborough Street, is a typical used book store in some ways. But they also have a good selection of old record albums. We were able to find several versions of a particular classical piece when my daughter was doing a music project. They also buy music and books. more

excellent place to pick up books cheap 2/3/2009

If you are looking to pick up books for less than you would pay at most bookstores this is a great place to shop. The selection is pretty good for a used bookstore, and the staff is fairly well read. more

Being an avid reader, and needed to 'own' my books, I am a huge fan of used bookstores. Nice price books is conveniently located, and also has a wonderful selection of 'free' books with a donation. PROS: good selection of 'free' books CONS: more

Good selection, decent prices 8/2/2002

I've found some great used books here--Nice Price has become one of the first spots I hit when I'm in the mood to browse the shelves. Many of the books look suspiciously like they're AWOL from the library (crackly covers and everything), but sometimes that's the best way to find recently released hardcovers. The CD selection is also good, but the DVD/Video selection is made up of slim pickins. Pros: Good book selection, Great parking more
