New Face, New Body

I absolutely love this spa! I was 5 minutes late to a spa in the area for Brazalian, the weather was bad, and I called and they told me to come on in. When I got there the wouldn't see me! I heard about New Face, New Body! I called they told me to come in! Not only was my wait a mere five minutes, but it was more than 60% less than what I originally pay. My technician was friendly, and made me feel comfortable. She encouraged a breathing techinque, which my fancy upscale spa never suggested! See You Soon, Dallas more

I am confused. I LOVE this place so much. They did the best eyebrow waxing in town but a year ago I moved too far away to get there as often as I wanted. After about a year of not being able to drive back to MI, I returned about 2 months ago for a brazilian and eyebrow wax. To my surprise they told me that they don't do eyebrows for religious reasons. I just went to their website and it is clearly marked as a service that is still available. What gives? more

This was my first appointment here at new face, new body. From the time I walked into the shop the staff was very friendly and more than happy to answer my boat load of questions that I had because it was my first time going there. I got a waxing treatment done, and they were very professional and very caring about my level of comfort. I would strongly suggest going here to anyone! I know that I will not even venture out to try new things, I will be going back here. Not to mention, great staff, perfect (easy to locate) location, and affordable prices. What more could you ask for? A smile at the door? Yes, I got that too! more

I couldn't be more pleased. This has been my go to waxing salon for the past 10 YEARS. Last winter I decided after years of waxing I was going to have laser hair removal done. Let me just say that this summer has been wonderful. My bikini area was hair free! No ugly razor bumps, no "Oh my gosh I've got to get in for a waxing today." I'm so pleased that I started my laser removal in September. If you need any kind of waxing you really should go see them. Each of the ladies are wonderful, quick, effecient, professional and CLEAN. While the waxing is fab, Laser is where it's at. Seriously, this is the one area where I'm glad I spent my money. Worth every penny! more

Spa Queen must have walked into a different place than myself! I have been to many different spa's and salons, never have I felt more comfortable in that type of environment. I have had numerous wax's from this place and never had a complaint. My hair is especially course and since coming I haven't had an issue with ingrowns as I usually do with any other waxing facility. I recently went on a trip to Mexico. Before going the girls recommended I do a synergie (cellulite) treatment. Can you say I wore a thong for the first time EVER on a vacation. I was ecstatic! I don't even wear thongs at home with the lights off. And there I was in Mexico with my boyfriend of a few months, wearing a thong! I can not thank the girls enough for this! I was able to afford this great treatment and honestly I would have paid double had they told me to. Don't get me wrong its a great treatment, but I too worked hard for the results I got. They gave me a strict diet to follow and with that came the miracle of myself having the body I've only ever seen on TV. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place for all they do, especially the synergie treatments! more

Not the best spa around.....not very professional and I will not go back or recommend to friends or family. Need to provide more privacy not just strip down and know what they are treating before they take your money. more

I originally sought out New Face New Body back in July of 2010 because the prices for waxing in my area (ann arbor) are ridiculous. My first experience was as great and my last. I have been going back regularly every 4 weeks for my brazilian wax. I have heard great things about all of the staff. However, Raina (sp?) is my preference. Not only does the staff make you feel comfortable but they are very friendly. I have recently started getting laser hair removal here and I think that it is fantastic. I have never had a problem with their sanitation. They always wear gloves and do not double dip they waxing sticks in their wax. They also change the paper between each client. They are quick and efficient. I have had brazilians elsewhere that will take 45 minutes or even longer to finish. Not here though! They are well practiced at their craft and will have you in, fully waxed, and out in no time. One of the biggest advantages is that their technique plus their waxing products make for a near painless wax. I have gone to several different places throughout my years of waxing and this is by the the MOST PAINLESS wax that I have expereinced. You cannot be waxing at New Face New Body more

Very pleased! I should have went sooner! I had a brazilian wax done and I am very happy with my results. It was not nearly as akward as I thought it would be! Fatimah did my wax and she was very friendly and very fast. It was $35 for the first time and it's $25 after that. They accept credit cards and you can add a tip, which is nice! I drove about a half hour from Dearborn and it was worth it. I'll be returning in four weeks! *I'm not sure why the lady who wrote "Left Dissatisfied" had such a bad experience. My experience was total opposite. And they DO have liscenses displayed in the lobby, framed, on a shelf, which is typically where the display liscences in spas and salons. more

I went there for a brazilian, and after reading the reviews, expected a clean and comfortable environment and professional staff. Instead I found myself ordered to strip down (while the door was still open). The table had sheets and towels that were stained and obviously used from at least the day before without being washed and I was finished in 12 minutes (I timed it), with disregard to pain and thoroughness. I left there with patches unfinished and feeling like they didn't care how my experience was. The room was warm with harsh lighting, and there was no concern for privacy or relaxation. On the plus side, there was some concern for sanitation, there was no "double dipping" in the wax and the esthetician (not that I saw one license displayed) wore gloves. I will not be returning, even if I have to pay slightly more for better experience Pros: Affordable prices Cons: Lack of cleanliness, professionalism, and comfort more

I went to New Face and Body on my birthday to get the facial massage combo. They were professional, nice and they know what they are doing. I felt awesome. I went twice after that for the same service. They give you suggesions on what products to use (they don't carry them, and are very reasonably priced), and advice on how to keep your skin beautiful. I highly reccomend the massage combo which is $60. Their waxing is great also. I recommended it to a friend and she loves it also. She fell asleep while getting her foot massage. It's that soothing. A lot of people don't know this but they actually give $10 off on Vitaplex C if you buy it when you get your eyebrows done. Me and a bunch of my freinds always get $10 off on Vitaplex C here. I don't think anyone else is selling this product for such a low price and I thought I should post a review so that everyone knows. Remember they will not give this rebate unless you ask for it! The staff is great and the quality of service is tops. The owner not only does a great job with her body treatments, but she also tries to educate while also treating you. I felt like a princess after I had my facial and neck massage. She has a customer for life!!! OH MY GOD!!! It was Fantastic. I left feeling great, It was by far the best birthday gift I had ever gotten. The women definitely know what theyre doing and they didnt make me feel uncomftrable at all. I thought that I had taken 15 years off and initially I had felt down for turning 40. I have been to spa's and salons all over the world, spent lots of money but surprisingly this spa was of the more reasonably priced and of the better if not, THE BEST. It was definitely the best money my husband ever spent. For a hundred and fifty bucks I got a new face and body literally. I live not too far from the very welcoming spa, but I would drive hours for them. With all that I got with my package, I got a complimentary brazilian wax because they said it would make me feel like a new woman, and boy were they right. I have had bikini wax's before but this was differant than any other wax that I had ever gotten. My husband was just as pleased as I was. Overall I would give them a 10 out of 10. First let me say I'm a professional model. No, I'm not talking about some backyard stuff, I mean billboards and TV commercials. I work in 3 different markets and Detroit is one. I'm not saying that to be all huffypuffy or anything,but the reality is that my skin is important to me--- it's my business. If it's not right, I don't make money. I've gone to a number of high end spas in Ann Arbor, Birmingham, Livonia and Bloomfield Hills, and let me tell you-- New Face New Body is the BOMB. Their face wax is awesome-- she knows EXACTLY how to do brows, doesn't give cookie cutter brows to everyone but truly works with your facial structure and hair texture to give you a unique look that's right for you. On top of that, her other facial waxing (chin, side, upper lip, etc.) is flawless. I've also had Brazilians done by her, and lemme tell you-- she really knows skin. She told me ways to prevent ingrown hairs without breaking the bank, and the rate for them ($25) is incredible. She's sanitary, clean and professional, and her staff is exceptional. They know everyone by name, they don't try to push products that you don't need. It's a small place in a nondescript shopping center on Ford road across from Meijer's in Canton but it's worth the drive. I send my family, friends and other talent people over there because she's just that good. They also do facials, massages, skin treatments and spa therapies. I can't say enough good things about them; I've been going there for about 2 years now.
