Searched for “Termite Damage, Richardson” on Google and found New Era Remodeling & Repairs. David, the owner, came by the next day and assessed the damage done by the termite and gave us an estimate. We liked him from the beginning because he presented himself professionally. He explained what had happened and how the termites were attracted to our house. His estimate seemed very fair and reasonable so we hired him right away. He did a great job. He repaired the damages done to the walls and the hardwood floors. He and his team worked on repairing our porch as well. Once jobs were finished within 4 days, we asked him to seal the rusted tension cable tips all around our slab plus some other minor carpentry work. He performed above and beyond our expectations. We enjoyed having him in our home and are planning to have him come back and do some interior painting as well as we are thinking about putting our house on the market for sale. We recommend him to anyone who is in need of a good contractor as he and his team can do variety of home improvement tasks. more

New Era Remodeling & Repairs was recommended to me by a neighbor. I had just had an upgrade done to our home by another local contractor that was nothing short of a struggle. Needless to say I was very Leary about how to select another contractor for any additional work on my home. I asked David if he would be interested in giving me a bid on repainting my wrought iron fence around the yard. He arrived promptly, took only 10 minutes to survey the job and provide me a verbal estimate. We agreed to a price and when I asked him when he could to the job he responded "How about tomorrow" (Saturday)... As promised that afternoon he delivered the paint and products. As promised his crew arrived at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday to start the job. His crew was professional and very courteous and friendly. They complete the job by 1:00 p.m. as promised. My wife and David went over several other jobs that she requested bids from him on. The first job he did was flawless. We will no doubt schedule a few more projects for David and continue to evaluate his work. But for now, based on the first job, I can recommend him as a very skilled and competent contractor that will perform exactly as he tells you he will. I look forward to working with him in the future and will update my review as jobs are completed. more

I hired New Era Remodeling & Repairs to remove wallpaper from two bathrooms, then texture and paint. David did an excellent job. He arrived when he said he was going to. His work was outstanding and he cleaned up when he was done. He estimated that the job was going to take four days but he was able to finish in three - I couldn't have asked for anything more. I was so pleased with David's fee for the job that I also asked for an estimate to replace the tile in one of the bathrooms. I will definitely be using New Era Remodeling again. more

Hired New Era for remodeling ½ of our house after our water heater in the attic leaked and damaged our home while we were not home during the recent freezing weather. They remodeled a bathroom, a hallway, two bedrooms and a living room from ground up. David and his team performed very well. The project lasted for three weeks. They showed up on time every day and clean up after themselves every night before leaving. The final cost ($21,000 +) ended up a bit higher than the original estimate! We are however satisfied with their professionalism and the quality materials they installed. Overall, we are giving them 4.5 stars. more

A considerable amount of work was done in our home. 1: Remodeling of two bathrooms, which included replacing shower areas with new tiles, removing old and installing new tile floors in both baths, new vanity tops in both baths, refinishing the walls from wallpaper to texturing material in both baths, painting cabinets in one bath, cleaning and staining the cabinets in the master bath, framing mirrors and installing grab bars in both baths, removing glass doors on tub in hall bath and refinishing the tub, new tub in master bath, widening doorways and installing new doors in master bath Also installed a vent and new light system in the toilet area of the master bath; 2: remodeling the utility room by removing a window and building a new wall and refinishing both inside and out (wall shared with back porch), moving the dryer vent from the replaced wall (which was in the fairly new porch area) to the garage and installing a lint catcher in the garage (works great!), installation of new wire shelving above and beside the washer and dryer, painting the utility room; 3: installation of new light fixtures in the foyer and dining room; refinishing wallpaper in entry/foyer to texturing material and painting; 4: installation of watering system for home foundation and landscape; 5: removal of carpet in dining room, main hallway, living room and office and replacing with engineered wood; 6. Painted back porch. The contractor kept in touch with us during the process to let us know when he would be later than expected. He was caring enough to ask about our personal difficulties (illness) and we appreciated that. His workers were respectful and hard working. One in particular worked with him many days and we appreciated his hard work and multiple abilities. The contractor/owner patiently listened to our questions and answered well. His advice saved us from making some bad decisions, and he was attuned to our needs and wanted our input as the work went along. We are very happy with every aspect of our experience. more

We are a retired couple and live in a 48-year old house and things were looking too old and out of style. After a careful research, we decided to hire Mr. David Sabet, owner of New Era Remodeling, to remodel our house. We met three (3) times before we finally hired him. From the first meeting, I was impressed with how he answered our questions in details and how honest he was about his suggestions to us. We also learned that he had a much better taste for styles than we had. We asked him to remodel 3 bathrooms, remove popcorn ceiling texture from the entire house, repair sheetrock cracks, replace the carpets with hardwood floor, paint the interior and exterior of the house, repair our roof and the eaves, refinish all the cabinets in the kitchen and the vanity bathrooms, replace the floor tiles in the kitchen, install new lighting and ceiling fans, and upgrade out main fuse box. David and his crew spent about 3 months working in our house and they transformed our home tremendously beyond our expectations. They worked diligently and paid attention to details. He communicated with us in person and by email regularly and kept us informed about the progress of the project. We enjoyed our 3-months encounter with David and his crew. Water started flowing out of the ground this Saturday when my sprinkler system came on. I called New Era and David showed up within 2 hours. Apparently, a PVC pipe was cracked in the ground due to overgrown roots of my tree. He fixed it quickly by re-routing it away from the roots. I was so please with his price and professionalism that I also asked him to check and fix some of my defective sprinkler heads and trim my trees and bushes. Soon, I’m going to ask him to remove 2 medium size trees from the front lawn. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a good handyman. more

I own a few rental houses and often need repairs for my rented houses. I have been using New Era for the last 3 years and I’ve been very happy with David, the owner, who personally takes care of most of the repairs himself. So far, he has done plumbing, roofing, electrical, painting, landscaping, sheetrock repair, and appliance installations for me. He is very punctual, detail oriented and his fees are fair and just. more

They trimmed two of our trees after the storm had damaged both of them. We are very pleased with their performance and price. We also found out that they are actually a remodeling & handyman service company and can do variety of jobs. We are thinking about asking them to repair our fences and build a deck in our backyard. more

This company installed a 10’x10’ wall with a French door in my garage, installed a portable A/C unit with an outside vent for the exhaust, a sink with cabinet and needed plumbing, an exhaust hood for my stove and routed the cooking fumes to outside. All jobs were completed in about a week as promised. Prices were good and we are very happy with the results. more

New Era Remodeling did a very good job of designing and rebuilding a closet for us. David was very polite and experienced. His price is also very fare for the quality work he does. We will use him again when we will have a need for a contractor. more

We’re getting old and living in a house is just too difficult for us. We want to sell our house and move to an apartment. We hired this company to paint the interior of the house, repair the roof, fix some water damaged ceilings, remove wallpaper and texture and paint 2 bathrooms, remodel 2 bathrooms, refinish some kitchen and bathroom cabinets, replace our carpet, and do some landscaping for us. They did all that in 2 weeks and, overall, we are very pleased with the quality of their work and the price they charged us. However, they created so much dust that we had to dust off everything in the house after they were finished. I’m taking 1 star off for that and giving them 4 stars overall. Inna more

My husband runs a heating & air conditioning company, and often he brings junk A/C and Heating parts home and stores them in our backyard. Our backyard looked like a junkyard and I was fed up with it. So, we decided to build two (2) fence walls with two (2) gates between our house and the neighbor's house so my husband could store his junk there on temporary bases. We hired New Era and they built us two (2) beautiful fence walls with large gates. They did such a great job that my neighbor complemented them for the great job they did. Their price was a bit more than we expected, but since we wanted a good contractor with very good reviews, we hired them anyways. We give them 4 stars. more

New Era replaced some shingles on our roof a few months ago. They showed up on time and did a great job. Recently, we hired them again to do some outdoor repairs around our house and stain our fences as well. Again, they did great and beyond and above my expectations. Their prices were good too. Since they can do many different things, I will always call them first. more

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! New Era replaced 2 of our patio doors and a window. The window and the doors were leaking every time it rained. They were rotted badly beyond repairs. They acted quickly and got the job done perfectly. We hired them again two months later to do some interior and exterior painting. They were very curious and did an excellent job again. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who needs to hire a home improvement company. more

We bought our house in Dallas, TX a few months ago. Our landscaping lights are very extensive and are all over the house. Many of the lights were not working. We hired New Era to fix them. We also asked them to do our Christmas lighting last December. They did a great job. We are going to hire them to replace some exterior doors and windows soon. We are also planning to get them to remodel our old house and prepare it for sale. more

I hired this company to replace and paint all rotted exterior wood trimmings around my doors and windows. He did a great job and his fees were fare and competitive. I will hire them again if I need other home repairs. more
