Editorial review from Citysearch 12/26/2013

Interesting that all the people against the place are female and vice-versa. I am a very proud white man and I enjoy this place quite a bit. Wish there were a lot more of them, but then Mulligan's wouldn't be that unique. Don't like it? Don't come in! Drive past the place without looking at the sign! If it's racism you're trying to condemn, why don't you go boycott the Black Panthers? This is a great place with cold beer, hot food, and even hotter bartenders! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 9/20/2012

You owners have nothing better to do besides posting racist messages about the president...Really? I pray for you and your kind every day. more

Very Racist restaurant!! Hates Hispanics and Blacks. Has an Obama burger on the menu and its bolonga on a hamburger bun! OMG!! Bet they couldn't be president for a day....Its no wonder they stay in business...its where all the ""bigots""---maggots go!! Like commented before...they deserve a ZERO on the rating for having a business that blatantly degrades others!! more

A hateful eyesore 2/26/2012

I have to drive by this restaurant and it's hateful signage every day. It's a disgusting reminder that some people are motivated by hate and anger, not a desire to make their community better. I can't comment on the food because I will never patronize a business that prides itself on degrading others. more

Bigots 1/6/2012

The place should be boycotted. Even the marquis sign out front, right along a main stretch of road, is covered with racist slogans. This place is disgusting, anyone who eats there is disgusting. Join the 21st century. I wish I could give a 0 star rating. more

You might be a redneck if you eat here... 3/31/2011

Horrible food, racist, redneck atmosphere. Definitely a NO! more

Racists! 10/18/2010

No one who has an ounce of decency should ever visit that place. This is the most offensive, most racist and vile place I have seen in Atlanta. The owner of this dive is an equal opportunity racist, no one escapes his vitriol: women, Hispanics, Muslims, Atheists. He posts some of the most disgusting things out on the marquis, for example, this week's racist rant reads: ""Atheist & Muslims keep heaven from overcrowding Thanks stupids!!"" [Typos his!] I have just posted a pic of it here! Pls. notice below the sign that reads ""Border patrol eats free"" - Which border? The one with TN or SC? And, yes, he is that ignorant, stupid and that disgusting! Now, there's my right to freedom of speech for those of you who condone this hatred as his freedom of speech. NOTE: Can any of the posters in favor of this racism tell me if they only allow whites inside? more

Boycott 5/27/2010

I am calling for a boycott of this disgusting establishment. Anyone who takes offense to all Hispanics being called ""Wetbacks"" and hispanic children being called ""Anchor Babies"" should do the same. As a previous review said it is like"" taking a walk back in history""....but to a time when racism was acceptable. Send a message that times have changed. I for one am disgusted that this place is still open for business. Please feel free to call them at 770-449-1137 to express your disgust! Cons: Racists more

The Friendliest Neighborhood Bar in Marietta, Georgia 3/8/2010

Gentlemen, and Ladies - MULLIGANS is as good as it gets on Roswell St in Marietta, Georgia! I only get into town a few times a year, but always know i can count on a cold Blue Ribbon and a warm reception from the folks around the bar. On my latest visit, I apologized for having traded my SUV for a blue PRIUS, and they graciously accepted my apology and even seemed to get a kick out of having a Japanese car parked out front. I do not go there for the food, but Mulligan's has it - even grilled bologna, in season. Customers smoke, prefer Pabst Blue Ribbon draft, and enjoy lovely lady bartenders. And the signs out front? I take pictures, I have a collection of them, dating back to the one that read ""SHUT UP, JESSE"" (and, you know what, friends, Jesse has finally quieted down). One time, I brought my wife in for lunch . . . she really enjoyed the talking deer head :-) Personal note to Milton: I was in Mulligan's on a Saturday; you invited me to come back on Sunday - I came but had to leave before you arrived - next visit, I buy you a beer. See the Big Picture: This Bar is Irreplaceable. Pros: Cold beer, friendly staff and locals Cons: Have not tried the chili; bologna sandwich might be good. more

Great out-of-the-waycountry/redneck/biker hangout 11/15/2009

As a history buff, going into the place is like taking an interesting cultural walk back into a rural Southern bar/restaurant during the 1950s... Pros: Sarah the bartender; great drinks & (usgood Southern cooking Cons: No pool tables more

It's not for everybody, but ................. 10/26/2009

Good food, cold beer, stiff drinks, reasonable prices, biker friendly, good company. It's not for everybody, but most things in life aren't 1 size fits all. You might not agree with some of Mike’s outspoken ideas; and if not, he doesn’t seem to mind. I recently heard him say to someone trying to start some ""Obama"" trouble, after asking him twice to change the subject, “Look, people don’t come here to talk politics. They come to drink beer and talk about women.” That pretty much sums up this little diamond in the rough. I won’t be offended if you stay home and watch the Black Miss America Pageant, Black Entertainment Television, or Black History Month on Bio. But until we have a White Miss America Pageant, White Entertainment Television, or White History Month, I hope you won’t be offended if some of us just want to hang out on the patio at Mulligan’s, eat a little good food, drink a cold beer, and sit around shooting the breeze with some good folks. Pros: Many Cons: Smoky inside more

All American Place 7/23/2009

I was in town with the military on my bike. Some people told me to check this place out. Man I am glad I did. Everyone in the place shook my hand and welcomed me. Felt like I had known them forerver. Mike the owner was great and everyone in there were fun people. The beer was cold and the BBQ was pretty good. I recomend this place to any PATRIOTIC AMERICAN. All you others find somewhere else if you dont like it. I hear they have flights all over the world that perhaps you'd feel more politically correct at. Have a nice day\r \r Scrappy Pros: Cold beer, Nice looking waitress, Harley and good folks Cons: Absolutley none. Felt right at home. more

Sorry all you PC folks 2/14/2009

I hate to say it but I like this place. Yes the food is good, the beer is cold and the service is great. They are all nice folks. I know some have a HUGE problem with the owner and his signs and such, but hey, if you don't like them, don't go there. For those of us who like the place, it is fine. Good place to go when you want something basic, filling and good tasting. If you are a ""sensitive"" person don't go. Pros: SERVICE 100% Cons: a little small but they have a parking lot LOL more

Great Service, Bad Food 11/24/2008

I love hole in the wall bars for sure. I stopped in because i saw the hilarious sign out front. After being in there, i don't think they are being socially unacceptable at all - just poking fun. I mean, maybe because i agreed with half of the bumper stickers all over the wall made it a lot less easy for me to be offended. But the service was wonderful! And drinks reasonably priced. I wish it was a LITTLE bit bigger because it made it hard to move around. I eventually moved from my table up to the bar and my experience was great from then on. however, i don't think i'll be returning because of the food. I ordered a bbq pork sandwich. For 6 bucks i would have hoped to get something a little more presentable than a sad, smushed cheap grocery store hamburger bun with a few droopy little pickles on top of the meat. Pros: Attentive Staff Cons: Too Small, Food Overpriced and a little gross more

Negative Environment 9/5/2008

I would not support this business---it doesn't take an 'A' in Sociology 101 to figure out that this establishment feels threatened by ethnic minorities, therefore, they scapegoat and taunt them under the guise of freedom of speech.\r \r I think people of the city and those that drive down Roswell Street should have them ousted from the city. Marietta is supposed to be an ""All-American"" city---- Americans are Hispanic, Black and Asian, too. I drive past their signs everyday---sometimes, I laugh at them, because they are ignorant, bitter people who want to spread division and hatred directed at non-White Americans among Whites who have fears about non-Whites (zero-sum theory) taken what is rightfully their entitlement as White men and woman. more

I smell Freedom of Speech on the grill.... 7/28/2008

This is for rating the place itself, & it's atmosphere, not for what the owner or patrons believe in or what they sell, you idiots. This establishment is a good place to kick back for a few. Good folks-good atmosphere. \r Take you crappy bitter complaints elsewhere you troublemakers!! Ever heard of ""Freedom of Speech""?? Pros: Kick-back place more

Extremely average 6/7/2008

The location is great, the food is mediocre, but not bad. the prices are good. I think it is worthwhile if it is not a special occasion. more

Racistt 6/5/2008

Check out their ""Obama in '08"" t-shirts\r \r and then NEVER give them your business. \r \r America, wake up and smell the bulllshit! Institutional racism was merely a tool by which the rich once used to distract poor, ignorant white Americans into antagonizing blacks, another enormous poor population so that NO ONE EVER WOKE UP AND REALIZED WHO WAS REALLY SCREWING THEM OVER. Now, they don't even have to bother- powhites keep themselves ignorant and hateful. Fuuck this bar. more

Cold food, stay away 6/1/2008

Even for a smal, casual place, I found the food to be well below average. The food was pretty average, but was cold, thus making it horrible. Pros: Not much Cons: Ambience, service, and food in general more

Great atmosphere and service 5/22/2008

Mulligans is a little hole in the wall bar, if you like country music, NASCAR and Harleys\r you'll fit right in if not you won't. Mike the owner is a character and loves to be politically\r incorrect he pokes fun at everybody with his street sign if you offend easily stay away.\r Pros: People there are always friendly Cons: Parking very limit more
