Mt Washington Jewelers

I brought a watch here to repair it as this store is not only the local Victorinox authorized service center, but also in large part because of all the other positive reviews. Initially, the repair seemed fine - they glued a number back on the dial for me. However, only a short while later I was wearing the watch at work and I noticed the dial had started to spin freely within the case. I had not hit or dropped the watch (I only wear it to the office occasionally). I struck me as a bit odd that this new problem would develop so shortly after the initial repair and cleaning (which was moderately expensive). I brought the watch back to the shop and was told the problem was likely the result of one or both of two small metal dial feet sheering from the dial face. They would need to be soldered back on. I thought the shop would do this for free given the recent repair -and as it seemed to me likely the damage was somehow related to the disassembly / repair. The two shopkeepers immediately became defensive and told me that there was no way they had any culpability and that this could only have been caused by me hitting or dropping the watch. There is no way I dropped it and I certainly don't believe I ever bumped it significantly, let alone enough to sheer metal pins off the face inside the watch without damaging some other part of the watch. Of course there is no way to prove who is right. Well - I asked the owner if he would do the repair at his cost out of goodwill and he more or less laughed at me and said no. (I think it would have even been reasonable for him to split his actual cost with me). I am just a bit surprised at how neither of the shopkeepers would even consider the possibility that they might have caused this damage. I will not be back. The days of the customer always being right are gone here. more

Good: Great service with high level of professionalism. They worked with me through several attempts to get a perfect fit on a watch resizing. My watch was handled with care and I was treated with the highest level of service. Highly recommend.. Bad: Parking on the street is somewhat of an inconvenience.. more

I reached out to Mt. Washington Jewelers for my time piece repair. They were knowledgable & friendly over the phone. Once I was in their shop, I couldn't believe how excellent their service was. They were able to repair my watch on the spot & recommended a complete watch service for a later date. I will be going back for that watch service AND for future purchases because their service is the best I have experienced. I am in the Sales-Service Industry so I am a tough critic with high standards, I was impressed. -tm more

Mount Washington Jewelers has been around as long as I can remember. They are located right on Beechmont, in the heart of Mt. Washington. The shop is small but the selection is great. They are very customer friendly. They also do a nice job of jewelry and watch repair. This is a great family run business. Moderately expensive, but worth the price. more
