Rip Off 4/4/2012

They must charge over $200 an hour. When I gave Mr Rooter a call for an estimate, they said they would come out at no charge to give me a confirmed estimate. Well first, they were 30 minutes late. When the plumber came to look at replacing a bathroom faucet and swap out a long gated toilet bowl for a round one, of which I was supplying, he said he would go to his truck to figure out the cost. After waiting 20 more minutes, I finally went outside to see what was up, and he immediately got out of his truck with the estimate. The cost, over $800. You do the math, how long do you think it would take a professional plumber to change out a faucet and toilet bowl out of a newly remodeled bathroom? If they had told me over the phone they charge over $200 an hour for services, I would have ended it right there. It was a total waste of time on both our behalf's. more

Set pricing was nice 12/20/2011

The negative review I read made me laugh! IMHO, other plumbers may give you a lower quote to start off with but once you get the final bill it will be higher because they had more hours than they expected. Check it out for yourself. Mr. Rooter has set pricing for each job so you don?t need to worry about them overcharging for labor by the hour. The work was great the tech was nice and they did a great job. Give them a call its well worth it! more

Worst Plumber Ever! 1/18/2011

Well how do I put this. Mr. Rooter did not do the job they said they would do. They also charged more than the average plumber and screwed it up in the process. I have a court judgment against Mr. Rooter and they will not pay me. Isn't that interesting they screw up and do a lousy job and won't give me my money back through a Court Judgment. So what ever you do this should be the very last place you look for a plumber. They are a franchise with who knows what kind of people working for them. In my opinion I don't think they are plumbers at all. more
