When I gave Mr Rooter a call for an estimate, they said they would come out at no charge to give me a confirmed estimate. Well first, they were 30 minutes late. When the plumber came to look at replacing a bathroom faucet and swap out a long gated toilet bowl for a round one, of which I was supplying, he said he would go to his truck to figure out the cost. After waiting 20 more minutes, I finally went outside to see what was up, and he immediately got out of his truck with the estimate. The cost, over $800. You do the math, how long do you think it would take a professional plumber to change out a faucet and toilet bowl out of a newly updated bathroom?
If they had told me over the phone they charge over $200 an hour for services, I would have ended it right there. It was a total waste of time on both our behalf's.
