Mr. Nobody Tire

Went in on a Friday morning, 8-9am. Needed oil change/tire rotation, alignment. Called me around 2pm, said oil change/rotation was good, but unable to complete alignment because tie rods are bad. That's fine 130k miles on car no problem. Said they would have it done by Monday, close of business, 530pm. That's fine, made arrangements for weekend, and Monday. Monday rolls around, I finally have to call them at 2pm, because no one has bothered to call me. Guess what!!! It won't be ready. When were they going to pick up the damn phone and tell me my transport to and from work would not be ready, at 530pm. I am sure that the mechanics are perfectly capable, but the customer service is terrible. This place had been recommended to me by a friend, because my regular mechanic doesn't do alignments. They didn't offer me a loaner, they just told me I could bring it back when it was convenient. I especially love it when the two folks who help customers start to blame each other. I have never wrote a review about a business before, but I figured I would share my two cents. I took my jeep up there for a oil change, and I went in and they lady at the front desk was rude as soon as I walked in saying, "what do you need!", like she was in a hurry. I told her I needed to get my oil changed, she said the wait is atleast 2-3 hours since it was lunch time and everyone gets their oil changed at lunch time. She informed me that I needed to come back between 3 and 3:30, so I did. I returned to hear the same woman say to me, "we are not going to be able to do it today, so sorry!". I ran right up the street to Jiffy Lube where I was greeted as soon as I step foot out of my vehicle and was in-and-out within 15-20 minutes.\r \r I will never step foot in this Mr. Nobody place ever again! more

I little over priced on service. for example. a strut replacement that is known to take only 1 hour for remove and replacing was quoted @ over 2 hours. Other local service centers also said just one hour. CAUTION when having tires mounted.. one lug nut was cross threaded . Not sue if the techs were working too fast or what. I had taken it back and another tech had to break of the lug nut and left 3/4 of the stud and put a different sized lug nut back on. Came time to have my strut replaced last weekend by the "other" local repair enter and WHAM another lug was cross threaded on same Rim. so NOW i am out hour labor cost by the 2nd repair center and had to purchase an entire set of lug nuts and 2 studs.. arrrgg :( not happy camper right now. i will see if this shop will reimburse me for the added aggrivation... more

We have been taking our cars here for years........never demanded a quick fix before work or had to deal with a failed inspection. We have a total of five vehicles that they service for us right now. I am quite certain that they have never, ever tried to scam us and our vehicles have always passed inspection. I don't usually put out recs online, but I trust these folks to do a good job every time. They can get busy as they are a popular place to have work done. That has been our experience. more

I have nothing but great reviews for My Nobody on Union Rd. This is the only place I will take my car. They are so helpful and fast to. My mother in laws rear view mirror fell off and they even gave me the glue to glue it back. Steve was great! Keep up the great service. more

was on the way to work today and "lost" a tire - tread came off - since i was nearby I limped my way to them and explained what happened and that i needed help with getting my spare tire put on and that i was on my way to work. They said it would be at least an hour wait time.I realize there were other cars in front of me waiting for various work to be preformed but i was just looking for a quick 5 minute tire change.I left them and went up the road to jiffy lube and was in and out within 15 minuets and they even refused my offer to pay them for their help. Just goes to show you what some places do for true customer service and repeat business more

I have never written a review of a business before, but following my experience with Mr. Nobody on Union Rd. in Gastonia, NC I feel compelled to warn other potential victims. \r \r I recently took my daughter's car to Mr. Nobody for the annual emissions/safety inspection. We normally take it to our regular mechanic, but he was very busy, and we were on a deadline for getting this car inspected on time so I thought I would get it taken care of quickly at Mr. Nobody. Not exactly!\r \r About an hour after my daughter and I dropped the car off for inspections, I received a phone call from the receptionist telling me that the vehicle had failed inspection due to a "serious safety issue." She said the "power steering rack was cracked". Immediately this signaled some red flags for me. First of all, I had just driven the car to the inspection station and noticed no problem whatsoever withe power steering. Second, we'd had nothing leaking on the garage floor, and third, we had not had to add more

Good experience, great customer service, very quick too! Highly recommend to everyone! Tire prices were lower than wal-mart! more
