slow wireless internet 2/26/2009

Expensive. Beautiful scenery, outdoor seating. Ample parking across the street. Large bakery selection. They removed two wireless access points, so now only one is left; the internet is very very very slow at Mozart's Coffee. more

Y'all have to be kiddin' me 9/14/2006

I guess I'm super unlucky because every time I've been to Mozart's there's always a super long line at the coffee bar, the desserts somehow always end up costing me an arm and a leg and aren't that great (I've tried the choc. mousse, keylime pie and blueberry cheesecake...didn't finish any of 'em) - you have to agree that a non-generous slice of dessert at almost $6 is a bit steep for a casual coffee shop. I have to agree the coffee is very good, probably because of the fresh roasted beans (they roast their own) and the patios are very spacious and have live music on the weekends. Great place to take friends, family, dates, etc. and the views are the better than any other coffee place in Austin (unless you go to the Oasis for coffee). more

Great, Great Coffee and Beautiful Location! 4/6/2006

Another great coffee place I've only been to one time - but it was enough to make a good impression on me! The coffee and desserts here are out of this world. We even bought some of their flavored toffee coffee and enjoyed it for a few weeks after our visit. The location is also beautiful. I recommend sitting outside if the weather permits. more

Mozart's is definitely the best coffee shop in town if you're just looking at location and size. It's smack on the lake, and there is plenty of room indoors, or on their patio or huge deck. During the summer, the deck is a bit toasty during the day. It's often crowded, which can be a good or bad thing. Their coffee seems good, and their desserts are pretty and downright scrumptious. The crowd that gathers here isn't necessarily very hip, which again, can be good or bad thing. It's the coffee shop I take my mom to when she's in town, if that tells you anything. more

good study location 3/28/2006

Mozart's is sometimes a great place to study, they have free wireless internet which is a plus, but it get's loud sometimes so that's not so good. They often have live music, and it's on the lake so you always have a great view as well. Their coffee is very good as well as their desserts and baked goodies. more

Mozart's 3/27/2006

This is probably the most romantic coffee house anywhere in Austin. It sits by the lake, so you get the choice of sitting inside and listen to music if someone is playing that night or sit outside and take a look at the breathtaking scenery. They also have great coffee and awesome desserts. I believe their morning selection is from Quack's so you know you'll have something to enjoy. They also have a great selection of cakes and other pastries. Definitely a good place for after dinner, to hang out with friends or to impress a first date. more

Great view, Great coffee! 10/22/2005

I love going to Mozart's because first of all I love coffee and they serve really great cups of joe, but also because of the breathtaking scenery and view when the sun sets on the lake. It is a great romantic spot to go, or just a fun place to hang out with your friends. Come check it out!! more

A great place to hang out 9/17/2005

I love Mozart's Coffehouse! There's a great view of the lake since it sits right next to it. Most people sit outside on the deck. There's also live music on some evenings. Besides coffee, they also have great desserts. I think this is the best place to hang out with your friends or to go to on a date. more

nice place for coffee with a view 8/26/2005

Mozart's is a really nice spot for after dinner coffee or a fun place for a early evening out. At the edge of Lake Austin, it is a coffee house with an elaborate deck and outdoor seating area. They make really nice fancy desserts too (a bit pricey). This is a nice place to take out of towners for a coffee with some nice scenery. It is part of the Hula Hut complex so parking is a bit of a problem. more

Great Desserts! 8/25/2005

This is one of my favorite spots to meet friends. The caffe late is delicious and every dessert I have tried has been amazing. Try the chocolate cream cake and any of their cheesecakes. They have so many choices! Sometimes they have canollis. Their coffee is very good. They usually have a long line! more

Relax on the Lake 8/24/2005

This cafe is on Lake Austin, right next to Hula Hut. They serve all kinds of desserts like Amy's Ice Cream, cake, tarts, and others. Plus they serve coffee, Italian sodas, etc. If you go on weekend nights, there's a band playing outside on their deck. They have indoor and outdoor sitting as well as free wireless internet access. I think it's a great place, especially when you're taking someone you're interested in or a good friend...the atmosphere is casual and a great place to relax and have private, casual conversations. more

Great place 8/18/2005

Mozart's Coffee is a great place, it is located near the town lake. You can come down here in the afternoon and enjoy your cup of coffee while listening to music. I like their music, and the dessert tastes very good. I know some people, and they all like there. so I recommend it. more

Nice if it'swhat you're looking for 8/15/2005

Mozart's is not a good place if you're a student looking to do some studying but I would recomend it if you're on a date after dinner. There's a nice view of the water and they have some truly outstanding, if expensive, desserts. The coffee is pretty rich so don't plan on throwing a couple back to get you through the night but it's a good place to go and sit back with a cup or two. A step above your neighborhood coffee shop. more

This is a great place to sit out and lounge at. Located right by the lake, you get a great view. Inside there is a plethora of coffee drinks, teas, cheesecakes, ice cream, and other desserts. Also there is wireless internet, so it is a great place to study. Not a well-kept secret in Austin, so on nice days you will have to fight for a seat inside. more

Catch the sunset over Lake Austin at Mozart's. This place serves great roasted coffees. They also have a wide variey of desserts from cheesecakes to pies. Try the cheesecakes, it goes well with the nice coffee. There's also wireless broadband for those who want to online/chat/work while enjoying their evening in Mozart. more
