Moxy

I found Moxy on this site and decided to visit during one of my trips to St. Louis and I'm glad I did. My waiter (Kenny) made sure I was kept company since I was by myself, and the service overall was friendly and fast (for this type of restaurant). Moxy is all about the trendy atmosphere. From the modern decor to the art slidshows on the LCD screens mounted on the walls of the restaurant, it is clear that Moxy is out to draw in the younger, more hip crowd. I ordered the tuna entre with the scallops appetizers (everything on the menu is one word) and was pleased with all of it. The scallops appetizer is served with fennel slaw and butter sauce and the scallops melt in your mouth; it was my favorite part of the meal though the tuna was also cooked to perfection - only seared on the outside, raw in the middle served w/ wasabi and rice. I hear they also have some great Martini's but I stuck with a nice Pinot Noir. If you are in St. Louis, I recommend you try Moxy. Try the butternut squash tortaloni! It's delicious! A complex spin on the everyday dish. Great place to impress a date! more

This trendy, blue washed bistro is a nice addition to the flair of the CWE, but it's not established just yet. The table decorations and details are nice, and warmly welcomed. The drinks are amazing (Moxy Vox) but our waitress ignored my one guest, not just once, but three times in the evening. She flat out ignored any questions my friend had. As soon as friends of the waitress came into the resturant to reside at the bar, our service took a downhill trip. After it all, I was content with the food, but not overly amazed. I was disgusted in the service and sadly a bit jaded. I understand that this doesn't reflect everyone at Moxy's and therefore, I'll return in hopes of a great second impression.
