Should have stayed in Chicago 1/17/2003

My only experience at this restaurant was supposed to be a birthday celebration for me and my date. However, it turned out to be an experience that has kept me from ever returning. We asked for non-smoking seats. Shortly after we were seated next to a divider with plants in it a roup of five men lit up cigars. They were less than six feet from our table. The steak was broiled and not grilled. I much prefer grilled steak. more

My husband and I have visited this restaurant on several occassions. Each time we dine there it is a great experience...all around. The atmosphere is wonderful for a romantic dinner. The waitstaff is not too pushy, but yet very attentive. They have the best steaks and desserts that I have ever eaten. Pros: Steak, Service, Atmosphere Cons: Price more

You can get great seats if you go and pick them out. They have a great table arrangment where the doors can be closed for a very romantic dinner. more

Food is excellent, service is excellent, ambiance is excellent, and the Godiva Chocolate Cake is to DIE FOR! There are a lot of great steakhouses in Houston, but Morton's wins for best all around appeal! Pros: Dessert, Romantic more

Bulls Eye 8/8/2002

I have eaten at dozens of steak restraunts. Though Mortons is a little pricey, the food is wonderful. If you have never been I strongly recommend the Godiva Chocolate Cake for dessert. more

Best Steakhouse in the City 7/29/2002

Simply the best steak in town. Forget about Pappas and Ruth Chris. Excellent steaks. One of the few places that do not overcook a rare steak. Excellent crabcakes. more
