Morelia Mexican Dining

A "previous employee" reported that the chips were recycled. I want to let everyone know that this is incorrect. This person even called the health inspector and they cleared us. So his comment is not tru. I know for a fact that chips are made fresh every morning and whatever is leftover from a table, is disposed of. more

AS A FORMER EMPLOYEE I RECOMEND TO ALL FANS OF THIS RESTAURANT NEVER EVER EAT THE CHIPS. THE CHIPS THE PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS LET BEHIND MIGHT BE ON YOUR PLATE.... GENERAL LAW HERE IS RECYCLE RECYCLE ALL UNEATEN CHIPS EVEN IF THEY ARE TOUCHED OR HAVE TRASH IN THE BASKET, TAKE IT BACK TO THE BIN AN OUT IT GOES AGAIN... YUK SO WHAT ARE YOU EATIN??? more

I love this restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful and the price is right. Make sure you get to this place for lunch because their lunch specials are incredible. I have never had to wait at this restaurant either. There are so many tables that I always get one. The food always comes out hot which is a huge benefit. more

I have found it rare to admire the decor and ambiance at a Mexican restaurant....but Morella aims to offer a fine dining experience. While Morella is not a five star restaurant, it is one of the nicest Mexican locations in town. The dining area is clean and comfortable with a touch of class - you won't find any neon colored sombraros or pinatas on the walls. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, anticipating your desire for more salsa, chips and water before you have time to think it. Morella is usually packed during lunch, a testament to their great lunch menu. One can grab lunch for $6, the portions are generous, and be in and out in about 30-45 minutes. The food is your typical Mexican fare...however I never feel the need for a siesta after eating a plate of refried beans and rice - something I cannot say for a lot of the restaurants in town. I also have to recommend their fried ice cream - which is great to share with the table after a satisfying meal. more

Morelia is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. Quick service, great cheese dip, good margaritas...and if you have small children, they have coloring books and crayons available...you can tell the owner has grandchildren! All the staff are super nice and willing to help. Service is outstanding. Everything we have had on the menu is great. The white cheese dip is divine. The chips are crispy. The refried beans are just right. The place has ample seating, with booths, tables for 2, and long tables for large parties. There is usually not much of a wait due to the good service and quick turnaround of meals. The price is right, too. Definitely a great place in Tallahassee to dine! more

Morelia's is without a doubt the best Mexican restaraunt I have ever been too. I have never been to Morelia's and come away disappointed. This experience was certainly no different. Morelia's is a wonderful restaurant for the pleasant atmosphere, the attentive staff, and most importantly the fast food wait time with the full service restaurant taste. Even during busy times, I have not had to wait more than at the most 10 minutes for my food. It always comes to the table piping hot and full of amazing flavor. Prices are extremely reasonable for portion size and quality. Tucked away in a shopping mall, Morelia's seems unassuming but the food is something that should not be missed. more

Morelia's food is awesome! Their lunch specials are extremely cheap, and you get tons of food. When I worked a mile or so away from them, we would call and order lunch at least twice a week - and never had to wait more than 15 minutes for 5 entrees. The service is outstanding, and the people are incredibly friendly. more

Morelia Mexican dining is the best Mexican food in Tallahassee, hands down. This local restaurant located in the Village Commons Shopping Center off Thomasville Road is very family friendly. You are greeted with a basket of warm tortilla chips and homemade salsa upon being seated. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. Try the cheese dip and chicken quesadillas. Highly recommended. more
