I first encountered the mcbrides years ago when my other vet would not care for my hamster. They treated poor fluffball and got him all better. Started taking my elderly cat to them and they treated us with the most care and respect ever. After 21 years finally put her down and they were so understanding and compassionate. Will be seeing them in the future when ready! more

We've been bringing our dogs and cats to Dr. McBride since we moved to Cincinnati over 30 years ago. They are the most caring vets we have ever been to. Every new puppy or kitten has been taken there for routine check ups and sick visits. I wouldn't trust them to anyone else. Our beloved Golden suddenly took ill and we didn't know what was wrong. Dr. McBride wasn't sure either. He ran several tests which were inconclusive. I was sure we were losing her, but 3 days later he sent her home and she was her old self again. I'm not sure Dr. McBride really ever knew what the problem was, but our Golden learned something. From that time on, she was no longer afraid of going to the vet. She learned he was there to help her and not hurt her. Thank you both Dr. McBride's and Paula for your wonderful care! more

I had to give them a star to post. they knew she had a bad heart, they know she didn't have long to live with/without the surgery, but dad wanted son to have something other than routine office visits to do. Lovie suffered unusually cruel pain – in the hands of doctors I trusted above all. I know better now. If you love your furry friend, think about who's care your put them in. Then run from MHAC! more

We have taken our cats and dog their they have the best staff and the doctors their are awesome I would reccomend them to anyone looking for quality care thank more

We have seen both Dr. McBrides. They are kind, caring, patient, and they both take their time with their furry patients and were thorough both in the examinations and also in the explanations to us. We will continue to use this father and son veterinary practice for Chewy, Casimir, Vivi, and Remy. more

I have taken my Maine Coon there for his three rounds of shots, and neutering. The staff is absolutely excellent, and every employee is able to handle little Leonidas (who is more than a hand-full) to the extent that he purrs. Every staff member shows excellent qualities, they care about the animal and about you, they will recommend the best way to treat sicknesses and how to help your pet recover from surgeries. I could not be happier with the Monfort Heights Animal Clinic. I recommend them highly for those who want the best for their pets. The prices are more than comfortable for the level of expertise and care they show. more

I switched vets after my cat died last year because of convenience. So when my existing cat got sick, I took him to several visits at the new vet and they couldn't get him well so they referred me to the Care Center which is supposed to be top notch doctors. They also couldn't/didn't get him any better, so I brought him to MHAC. They have done so much more than the other 2 places to get my kitty well again. They are so much more knowledgeable and caring. I should have never switched and maybe my cat wouldn't have had to go through so much sickness. I'll never do that again!!! This place is wonderful and less expensive on top of everything. more

They saw my dog for the 1st time at 8 weeks and 13 years later helped me make the difficult decision to end his suffering. The staff is terrific and both Dr's always took the best care of our dog. drs. mcbride and their staff are absolutely the best vet practice in cincinnati. they have treated my animal family including dogs, cat and duck (yes, duck) over the past 15 yrs. the drs made a rapid, astute diagnosis of addyson's disease in my belgium shepherd that literally saved his life. this disease is fatal if untreated and very difficult to diagnose. if you are looking for personal, old-fashioned customer service with cutting edge skills this is your practice. i trust them with the people i love most: jack, aslan, oscar, vienna, muffin and little paco--my dogs. debbie craddock, loyal customer more

It is always difficult to go to a new vet; both of my cats had seen each Dr. only a couple of times. But when the tragedy occurred, everyone on staff went out of their way to make things a little easier, genuine in their caring, and very thoughtful. I left Cincinnati about a yr ago, and associates of the clinic were helpful during the transition. I do recommend both Drs; the person I spent most visits with is "the son." I know my parents have been customers of Dr. McBride since 1978. All I've ever heard was good things said about the M. H. Animal Clinic. I brought in a stray kitten who had a horrible and infected mouth injury and the staff at this clinic were wonderful with this poor traumatized little kitty. Their prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly and thorough. My mom ended up taking the kitten and his mouth and lip healed beautifully and he's in great health thanks to the terrific staff at this clinic. I now bring all my pets there. more

I take my Pekingese to Monfort Heights Animal Clinic, they are very professional, kind and caring for animals. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a great Animal Hospital I wouldn't take Gizmo anywhere else. more

My husband and I have had the opportunity to get to know the Monfort Height's Animal Clinic and their staff all to well recently. Our cat of 8 yrs has been cared for by the staff since moving here two yrs ago. Our dear kitty had to be put to sleep a couple of weeks ago and I am so thankful we were able to walk through that process with Br. MArk McBride and his loving staff. Since coming here, Dr. McBride and his team have given the best care I could have dreamed of to our cat and family. They are so personable and just love their patients! Our cat, who hated being touched by any doctor, actually loved the staff their. He didn't quiver or lash out, I think he just knew this team cared for him and was gentle. As we walked through the process of our cat getting ill and having to be put to sleep, Dr. McBride and his staff were so loving and supportive. They were very tender and spoke with words we could understand when giving us updates and reports on Buster. They did everything they could to ensure we and our cat were cared for. After our cat's passing, they even sent us a sympathy card and told us a donation had been made to an animal care organization on our Buster's behalf. The prices are a little higher than some vets we have visited, but their care, knowledge, and gentleness far outweigh any price difference. I highly recommend this office! more
