TOOK MY DAD TO ER IN AUGUST WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE 203/118 HIS HEAD WAS HURTING BADLY LIGHT SENSITIVITY PAIN 10/10, DOCTORS AND NURSES DID NOTHING FOR PAIN UNTIL 2 HRS LATER, THEY HAD TO DO HEAD CT MORE THAN 3 TIMES, I TOLD THEM MY DAD HAD BRAIN TUMOR ABOUT 8 YRS AGO PLEASE CHECK FOR THIS AS IT MAY COME BACK, THEY DON'T LISTEN PAIN WAS NOT CONTROLLED WE LEFT HOURS LATER WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS NOTHING TO CONTROL PAIN AT ALL, TOOK HIM TO OU A MONTH LATER SAME ISSUE WITHIN 30MNS PAIN WAS CONTROLLED 1 HR LATER CT WAS DONE ONE TIME AND FOUND OUT MY DAD'S BRAIN TUMOR WAS BACK, THANKS MIDWEST CITY FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. more

Took my fiancé to the emergency room for severe abdominal pain, we got into trioge in about 30 minutes, 15 minutes later got sent back to our actual emergency room, found out that they pair you up next to other patients.... Our "cellmate" could hear every bit of our private conversations with the Doctor, there was no privacy. What happened to HIPAA??? To top everything off, our nurse was an A**hole. After waiting in the emergency room for an hour or two for the doctor to even come in and look at her, I walked up to the nurse counter and asked how much longer it would take for a doctor to come check on my fiancé, Nurse "Kevin" said, "SHE DOESNT SOUND LIKE SHES IN BAD PAIN, I HEARD HER LAUGHING."... (She isn't laughing, our cell mate and her mother were laughing)... To top it all off, when our nurse came to finally give her something to ease the pain, it was 1:30am.. (We arrived at the hospital at 8:30pm) As Kevin is injecting medication into her IV, my Fiancé asks him how was the medications going to make her feel and nurse Kevin says "I don't know!? I've never had it!" (In the most rude tone ever)... BEING A NURSE, HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT SIMPTOMS OR SIDE AFFECTS THE DRUGS YOU ARE INJECTING INTO PATIENTS ARE GOING TO BE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU GOING TO TELL A WELL MANNERED PATIENT THAT!? The restrooms were so bad, I was afraid to touch anything inside. Needless to say, we will NEVER GO BACK TO THAT FACILITY, I WILL DIE BEFORE THE OPTION EVER COMES UP... We ended up getting home at 3am.. So when your driving down the highway and see the billboard advertising quick ER wait times, think of how this experience went... Go to Saint Anthony's East on I-40 and Douglas intersection. They treat you with respect. Thanks for reading my rant. Hopefully it will save people some trouble. more

The hospital is finally on the right track. Staff very friendly. Hopefully we will have our community hospital back!!!! more

The worse most unprofessional establishment I've ever been to. The staff is rude, hateful& ignorant. I was rushed to mwc ER in an ambulance suffering a gunshot wound I laid there bleeding and in unbearable pain for 4 hrs before they did anything. The nurse was too busy texting her boyfriend or whoever to even do anything and they completly ignored me. Now that st Anthony's is in mwc. Mwc regional hospital should be bulldozed. I wouldn't take my dog there. And they should have charges filed against them. And I even have the best med ins money can buy. It's sad to see the society we live in today have such poor efforts more

I am impressed with Midwest Regional Medical Center, mainly due to their caring staff, including doctors, nurses, even the receptionists. I have had to make several visits to their center recently, in preparation for a back surgery. Every time I have visited their facility, I have been seen immediately and treated exceptionally well by their employees. They take the time to make sure that you have everything you need, know exactly where you're going, have all your questions answered and are as comfortable as possible throughout your procedure. One thing that really stood out on a recent visit was the way the nurses treated my young son. I was going through the necessary testing for a preop visit, and they were wonderful, offering him snacks, stickers, even giving him a teddy bear, to make him feel more comfortable during the wait. It is always such a pleasant surprise to find employees, especially in situations like this, who are happy to go above thier call of duty to make the patient and family happy. more
