Not the best place for Comics 4/5/2011

Not once have I been able to find something I'm looking for here. Despite it's decent selection of gaming merchandise, this store greatly lacks in the area of comics and collectables. It has one of the smallest selections in the Houston area and also lacks when it comes to service. Customers to this establishment may also feel cramped when visiting, as the store is also very small. I would recommend that people take their business elsewhere, despite the hours. Point being, there are numerous comic stores in the Houston area that can better suit your needs. more

To Small and cramped , stinks , no service. 10/22/2010

i found this place cramped , no service and stinks. If you like magic and thats it , great place. I go to Swords and superheroes at both locations in Houston area . They have alot of stuff and also can get it within a a day or two from there other stores. Midnight comics keeps moving because of no money , and they should just give it up. Asgard Games in the area is alot better tha they are , its over for this place , close this dump. more

Mixed Review - Fair comic stock, knowledgeable staff, board & games, small cramped space and indifferent customer service 2/2/2009

I like having a comic shop that is close and that is open late for those of us that have to work late. They have a fair selection of board, RPG and card games (better than some larger comics shops for sure). They definitely seem very knowledgeable about comics. Pros: knowledgeable staff, decent selection of games, fair collection of comics, open late Cons: Indifferent customer service, inattentive staff, small cramped & cluttered space more

The Worst Comic Book Store In Houston 8/24/2008

There are many comic book stores scattered throughout Houston. Stores that come to mind include Third Planet, Nan's Games & Comics, Bedrock City Comics, and Midnight Comics. Each Houston-based store has its fair share of positives and negatives. For one, even though Third Planet has a larger selection of comics and memorabilia than any other store, it is the most unorganized. And although Nan's Games & Comics has the biggest selection of board games, it has the highest prices. And although Bedrock City Comics doesn't have that large of a selection, it is the cleanest and most organized. Pros: Open Until Midnight, Sells M:TG Singles Cons: Horrible Selection, Very Unorganized more

A Wonderous Haven of Gaming 2/17/2008

Most Gaming stores in Houston do not have an area for you to play anymore. Midnight comics is one of the last of a dying breed. John the proprietor carries a large selection of old and new RPGs and board games on top of his ample comics selection. He has the best selection of games In Southwest Houston bar none. and if he doesn't have it chances are he can get it for you. The new location is very well organized, clean and has an overall friendly atmosphere. There is always something going on at Midnight, whether it's CCG games, Board Games or Pen and Paper RPGs and even though John doesn't carry miniatures anymore you can still find miniature games going for various systems on occasion. I highly recommend stopping by his new location. You can find him at 2505 South Highway 6 Houston TX, 77082 (the current address is outdated) or on the web. Pros: Great Selection of new and old games of all kinds. John also accepts trade ins. more
