I HATE this company 11/12/2010

Morgan Grove apartments have the worst management team ever...they say they are kid friendly but they are not, they harass the kids and will harass you about stupid little things. All of the staff is just nasty and rude people. The plumbing SUCKS, the walls are too thin , u can hear everything from your neighbors apartment. Don't be fooled by the pool and play area, they really don't like kids and will make your kid feel unwanted. They SUCK!!! more

RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!!! 3/20/2010

From the start this company uses false, and misleading, advertising. I gave them one star just to get the "needle" out of the mud. When I first applied they boasted an On-Site Manger & Maintenance person. They don't have one. I've lived at Washington Square Apartments in Cudahy for 2+ years, one of their properties. The building is clean, I will give them that much. But that is solely due to the efforts of one man, Jim, their live-in cleanup guy. From that point on it goes rapidly downhill. When Federal & State inspections are on the agenda ..... they hustle to correct things that are obviously in violation and need repair. Otherwise? When we get the time, and oh yes, if it's in their "Mystery Budget"! Pros: Good Location Cons: Deceiving company, SLOW to correct conditions more

AVOID METROPOLITAN ASSOCIATES 2/13/2008

I made the mistake of signing a 1 year lease (July 2006-July 2007) with Metropolitan Associates at the Southgate location. It was my first apartment and I chose it because it sounded good-2 bedrooms, 1 bath, free heat, and it was considered a bi-level apartment for $675/month (has recently increased to $700). The KIT, BA, and living room were very small; bedrooms were average. I was unhappy with the fact that the 1 BR apts have a much larger BR, BA, and living room and were about $150 less per month when compared to the 2 BR apts. So, it may be a better deal for the money for someone looking for a 1 BR, but I wouldn't recommend the 2 BRs. There were several minor flaws that I noticed: it smelled bad, there were a lot of little chips in the wood paneling and counter tops, and the carpets were discolored in some spots throughout. I didn't like the fact that the entire building had to share 1 washer/dryer. It was inconvenient, expensive, and the dryer didn't dry well (I paid twice to dry 1 load before I started doing laundry elsewhere) . As far as the outside there were holes in the lot, neighbors partying outside quite frequently, there were huge racoons all over, and there was nowhere for guest parking without buying a permit, but those are "just common things with apartment living which Metropolitan Associates has no control over," I was told. Then winter came around....free heat?......no, it seemed to be set at a constant rate which wasn't adjustable no matter where I'd set my thermostat it was always cold! No changes were made and no explaination. Also, maintainance staff did a crumby job shoveling/salting; on top of that some had horrendous attitudes. When my lease was finally complete, a large amount of money was docked off my security deposit for small holes from nails in the wall from my wall hangings! I also considered Loomis Hills down the street also associated with Metropolitan-same story. Pros: Nice management Cons: Poor heating, maintainance, parking, shared w/d, overall uncleanliness more

free heat isn't really free, overpriced, outdated 2/6/2007

I currently rent from Oklahoma Gardens. It's supposed to be one of the more upscale complexs of theirs. It's not. Very overpriced. The free heat included isn't really free. It sets at a certain rate to where you can't move it. Right now it's 6 degrees outside and only 68 in here. Very old cabinets, toilets, countertops. Doesn't even come with dishwasher. Was very dirty when I moved in. Lazy maintanence people and leasing people. Took 4 months to get a storm window put in. Would never rent from them again. Pros: spacious bedrooms, okay location Cons: small living room, cold, overpriced, outdated, noisy more
