Best Oil Change in Town! 11/6/2009

I am slowly falling in love with this meineke.... As a young woman who admittedly does not know all that much about her older car (1992 Acura Vigor), I always feel some degree of apprehension when bringing my car to a mechanic. The guys at this meineke--the store manager Edward, and car repair dude Frank, are slowly changing that for me. Over the past two years I have been bringing my car to this meineke, amongst a few other places for oil changes and minor repairs. However, recently I decided they are my only stop from now on... First of all, the prices for an oil change simply cannot be beat. The Jiffy Lube up the street doesn't even compare during it's early bird special (and who wants to wake up at 7am for an oil change anyway?) But what really keeps me coming back is the friendly, fast service. Though I haven't visited this place exclusively, Frank (the mechanic) consistently remembers my car and checks for potential problems every time he pops the hood. When he finds issues, he shows them to me, explains the problem thoroughly, and even lets me watch him fix it if it's a minor repair. These guys have helped me out multiple times with leaky hoses, bad gaskets--things i never would have known to ask them to check myself-- and usually they do it for free. If you're looking for quality mechanics who will do good work without treating you like a moron (even you are an automotive novice), I completely recommend this business. Pros: fast, friendly service Cons: nothing worth mentioning more

brake service boo 1/4/2009

I have had the worst time with getting my brakes taken care of with them. The first time I went they stated nothing was wrong with my brakes when it was grinding, squeeking ect. I asked for them to please take a test drive with me so I could have them hear. Once they heard the noise they said that maybe my rotor needed to be resurfaced. This was done and within a week it was grinding and squeeking again. I took the car back the following month and they stated I need new brake pads and rotors. Within in a month they were squeeking again. My boyfriend took the car back and they gave some excuse and fixed it then giving me a free oil change. After about 2 months it started grinding and squeeking again. I called them about it and they informed me that I only had a 90 day warranty. So basically I would have to pay for my brakes all over again. For the most part they all have great attitudes there - but the brake services sucked. more

Excellent car repairs/service at Meineke on William Cannon 11/7/2008

I bought a used Acura Integra six months ago, and I've had about $500 in repairs done at Meineke so far. My experience has been totally positive. On my first visit for an oil change, Edward, the friendly manager, made it a point to introduce himself and get to know me. He knows I have a budget -- and so he's spent much time helping me to decide what repair work I need to do first on my car, and what things I can put off for a while. He's always been upfront about prices and what I can expect from the repairs. The prices and shop rates are very reasonable -- far better than what I'd pay at the dealer; there is no ?nickel and diming.? Edward, moreover, has given me (as a regular customer) a price break on the two occasions that I've spent a few hundred dollars at a time. Most of the other customers I've seen at the shop seem to be long-time customers. The place has a nice waiting room. Also, it's located nearby a small shopping mall with several casual restaurants and a Starbucks; so if you don't want to hang out in the shop's waiting room, there are plenty of places nearby where you can relax and wait for the repair work to be done. When Edward mentioned to me that this site existed -- and that customers could post comments here -- I told him that I would be glad to relate my positive experience at Meineke. If you're dropping by for any serious repair work, I'd recommend that you ask for Edward. If he's not out at the front desk, he's probably back in the office just behind the desk. Pros: Friendly and service-oriented. Good mechanics and manager. Reasonable prices. more
