Meadow creast farm is a great place for horses they get taken care of if i had horses i would give them to sharon know that they are getting taken care of everyday they are getting brushed down like they are supposed to sharon takes care of her horses and they way she treat people is amazing. she treats me like her own and i havent had people there for me and when i meet her i felt like my world was put back together. sharon is like a second mom to me and she wants the best for her horse and her people. so once u get to know her and her horse and actually help u can say stuff. more

Truth and lies 12/15/2018

These horses need to be taken from her. They are horribly underweight. I remember the first time I went to see this farm, I was so excited to be around horses again. I had raised my own horses for 10 plus years. At one time I had up to 13. I know the rigors and challenges that go with having these animals. I know what not to do and what to do. What I saw there was horrific. She couldn’t water the horses everyday due to a pump issue, you could see broken panels with sharp edges exposed, horses standing in a foot of mud. It’s a wonder if these animals didn’t have horrible thrush. And there weight. Sigh. For Goodness sakes people this is not what a healthy horse looks like. Skinny necks, little butts, ribs showing. That poofy belly you see that makes them look fat? Worms. It’s just sad. I’m sure she does her best but those horses need better care. And if she can’t provide it then she needs to let them go. more

Love This Place 4/25/2016

I have read some reviews about how dirty and poorly the horses are being taken care of. I take my two daughters there for lessons and plan on boarding horses with Sharon. For those reviews stating the horses are standing "knee deep" in their own filth that is a complete lie. The horses are taken care of just fine. She is also a rescue and has limited volunteers to help her out. I have grown up on a horse farm and this is what they look like. Dirt, Dust and sometimes yes horses get dirty. People want a champion stable with hundreds of workers. People to clean 24/7 and give horses pampering. I'm sure if Sharon was able to afford a million dollar stable and workers she would. Nothing is wrong at all with her property or the horses. Sharon is a lovely person and passionate with her animals. more

Appalling reviews 10/12/2015

My name is Lisa Kantner, I own a farm in Witt IL, I got really sick a couple of months back. I had met Sharon awhile back. Sharon talked to my husband and between the two of them the idea of bring a couple of Sharon's horses here. I would probably be gone by now but I promised Sharon the horses would be cared for. She not only trusted that I have horse experience, she trusted me to care for those 2 horses. One week ago she brought me 2 more horses to ride. Meadowcrest Farms saved my life. I couldn't begin to repay her for the trust she put in me. I have been to her place and no it is not a million dollar place, but it is safe, loving and caring place for horses or any other animal that needs a home. I'm so tired of Internet accusations about filth, hungry and unkempt barn. THAT IS NOT TRUE... more
