These horses need to be taken from her. They are horribly underweight. I remember the first time I went to see this farm, I was so excited to be around horses again. I had raised my own horses for 10 plus years. At one time I had up to 13. I know the rigors and challenges that go with having these animals. I know what not to do and what to do. What I saw there was horrific. She couldn’t water the horses everyday due to a pump issue, you could see broken panels with sharp edges exposed, horses standing in a foot of mud. It’s a wonder if these animals didn’t have horrible thrush. And there weight. Sigh. For Goodness sakes people this is not what a healthy horse looks like. Skinny necks, little butts, ribs showing. That poofy belly you see that makes them look fat? Worms. It’s just sad. I’m sure she does her best but those horses need better care. And if she can’t provide it then she needs to let them go. more
