Excellent job! 5/27/2016

McGrath Moving and Storage has done two moves for me in the past 11 years. They did such a good job the first time that I decided to use them again when I needed to move. They are fast, but by the same token, they are very concerned about how they handled our goods- furniture, pictures, etc- they do a really good job. The supervisor was clearly in charge and all the movers were very responsive. They were all friendly and helpful. I was present during the entire thing and they would continually ask me how I wanted the stuff to be handled; it was very gratifying. My wife and I lived in a remote area in the mountains and when she passed away a few months ago I didn't want to live alone in such a remote location. McGrath Moving and Storage moved us up there 11 years ago and they moved me 60 miles back to a little town in the central valley where my family has been for years. It went very well, they were very helpful, and I felt good about the whole thing. They did exactly what was expected of them. more

Great communication and service. 5/26/2016

McGrath Moving and Storage just provided basic moving service for us. They picked up our items and brought them to our new location. They had very good communication, they were professional when they arrived, they got right to work and they finished early and saved us money and that was very nice. It was way better than our last moving experience, they were not professional and took longer and cost more money. So I would definitely use McGrath again. more

A professional moving company. 5/25/2016

I hired McGrath Moving and Storage to move some stuff out of my house and into my storage and it was good. The company has been in the area for a long time and they're very professional and provide excellent customer service. They were careful with my belongings and I recommend them if you live in the area. more

A good experience! 3/21/2014

This is the second time I've used McGrath Moving and Storage and they were top notch. They moved my furniture out of my house and into storage. I've used other moving companies before so I can compare. Another moving company was annoyed that I had a marble table and also dropped my couch in the street. McGrath on the other hand was very careful with my furniture. They saw that I didn't have my furniture properly protected so when they put it in storage they left a couple of blankets for me to return to them after I got my things situated.They were very sweet and caring in the way they handled my furniture, the way they spoke with me, and in the time they took waiting for me to get my things packed. Mike and the guys felt like big brothers helping me move during a bad time. It all worked out. more

McGrath Moving and Storage was fantastic! They were on time, very professional and clean. They didn't do much packing, but what they did was excellent! The price was right, and they made moving a nice experience. It was my first time using them, and I would definitely use them again! more

Great 3/7/2014

My experience with McGrath Moving and Storage was pretty good. They were very conscientious about our belongings and wrapped them all very well. They placed everything where we wanted and were very careful. It was a pretty short move in terms of distance. The movers were personable, accommodating, and competent. I used them one other time a long while back. I'm overall pretty pleased with the service, though, it did take them awhile to do the job. Mike sent two movers when the move probably could have went more smoothly with two more. The job took all day and they did a fine job. I would have just appreciated another mover or two. more

Very very professional 7/22/2013

McGrath Moving and Storage moved us from Fremont, CA to Modesto, CA and they stored all of our furniture for us until we got our house purchased. Then they delivered it and set it up for us even more than we expected. They were very very professional. Very kind people. There was never a negative word nor fowl language used. They even came back four days later on their own time and took away the garbage and empty boxes for us. What more can you ask? We are looking forward to working with them again. In fact, we want to be transferring some of the stuff that they moved here for us up to Idaho to my wife's daughter's house. You would be very very pleased to have such a good company to work for them. more

An enjoyable experience! 7/15/2013

McGrath Moving and Storage moved a baby grand piano, an antique piece of furniture, and two very prized possessions of ours. They did an excellent job. It was a within-town move, about five miles. My wife had a couple of questions, they explained it very well. We'd absolutely use them again. The name of their organization has been here in town for many years. They've always been very excellent. more

The guys showed up a little early which was helpful. They were very polite and very careful. I looked at a few companies and they were the least expensive. If I ever move again I would be happy to use them. more

Great move into a two story house 6/26/2013

McGrath Moving and Storage deserves all 5 stars. They did an excellent job, showed up right when they were supposed to and were excellent about carefully wrapping everything up. I moved into a two story house and they did a great job struggling up the stairs efficiently. Great work! more

Expensive equipment broken, and then they lied about it 3/5/2013

One of the men was incredibly bossy and rude, they took a half hour break after loading for 2 hours, then stopped along the highway to eat lunch while I waited at new house with food in coolers that was thawing out waiting for refrigerator. Still waiting for supervisor to bring back equipment that was to be repaired by them. more

They look and act like you're supposed to. 11/13/2012

McGrath Moving and Storage just moved my furniture. They put it where I wanted, and they were just fine with me. They surprised me by hooking up my washer and dryer, because otherwise, I would have to do that myself. It was just fine. They acted and looked just like they're supposed to in public. If I do a job with customers, that's what I would do. When you have customers, you have to look and act like you're supposed to. more

Worked hard to make sure we were satisfied 10/30/2012

Wasn't the worst, wasn't the best. Somewhat of a letdown. 8/20/2012

This was our first time using McGrath Moving and Storage, they had come recommended by someone else who used them. They were very professional at packing. When it came to loading the truck it was too small, and they tried to pack it too tightly. They didn't get everything in the truck and had to haul some of it to their storage yard, and it sat up there for around 2 weeks then they brought it up in a pick up truck. I had to haul some stuff in my personal car too. It wasn't critical stuff, but the truck they used was just too small. R Neil more
