They need to do a better job of cleaning. Dishes and silverware are dirty. This morning I found a plastic jelly top in the bottom of my coffee cup. This was disgusting and unacceptable. Still got charged for the coffee. more

horrible first time experience will never go back. I ordered a build your own omlet and asked for half order egg white with veggies and jalepenos, which to my understanding was $2 extra for egg whites and $2 extra for jalepenos. they brought me back one covered in cheese which i did not ask for because i can not eat cheese. so I asked for them to redo it. when they took it back i could hear them in the kitchen complaining so being the nice person I am i said that i would take that home and pay for it so it would not be a waste. when i went to go and pay for my order they ended up charging me $30 dollars!!!!! out redicoulus price for one omlet and one they made wrong that i could not eat. apparently it was $2 extra for each damn eggwhite they used!!! so watch out or they might sneak in some additional chargers. guess my only regret is not standing up for myself and saying no, that i will not pay that much for one damn meal! more

Are you hung over? On the weekends this is where hungover people go to eat greasy calories. They are fast and effective at this restaurant. Staffed entirely by Mexican's the positive side of that stereotype is ringing true. You often have to wait to get in here, and the food is rather unhealthy. Give it a whirl anyway, when you are hungover. more

this is one of the best places to eat and the family that owns it would give thier shirt to anyone in need. i used to work for these people and they are great/. its a restaurant and they get busy but if you knew them like i do then you would know what i know and be very pleased even if your food takes awhile to get to you its worth the weight. i use to feed a family of four for under 10 to 12 bucks and take home left overs more

If you want a place that is friendly and that has big portions of Homestyle food then McCrae's is the place to go. It's no wonder that there is always a line of people trying to get in the door of this restrauant as this place dishes out some mighty good food. All of their breakfast portions are more than generous and it may take a bit longer than some restrauants to get your food after you order it, but ""Oh My Gosh"" look at what your getting. Chicken fried steaks that have to come on their own platter and then the hashbrowns and eggs fill up another platter, Yes I said platter's not some little plate that looks full with 2 small eggs and a piece of toast. Their hamburgers and other lunch menu items are also out of this world more

Wow it saddens me to see the bad reviews shown below, because every time my boyfriend and I go here it has always been a treat to us! This place serves breakfast any time and it's hard sometimes to choose between their 12-egg omelettes or their amazing lunches with 1lb hamburgers and steak fries! We just went last weekend and both got breakfast at 12:30pm and even though it was crowded we were able to find a comfy spot and got served right away. We have never had a problem with their service and they have always been quick to make sure everything is great. The price isn't too bad especially when you consider the portions that usually amount to a take home box for a 2nd meal later. The service is dodgy, I have had friendly service most of the time, and however one server was so rude to me and my family that my family will never return. The food is good and the portion sizes are huge!! Twelve egg Omelets and the bacon is crispy! I used to like McCraes, I even told my family to go there because I liked it, they all hated it, saying that they had horrible service, and it took an hour to get their food. I used to think they were over reacting, until January 1st 2009. My husband, my 8 month old daughter, and I went, my daughter was getting tired, and after an hour and a half, we still hadn't received our food. She was getting fussy because it was taking forever, so I called my parents who lived down the street to come pick her up and take her home to nap, bad idea it turns out. When they arrived, my husband took her out, put her in her carseat, and my parents took our car home, and left theirs, he came back in, and we finished our meal. Surprise Surprise, 2 hours after we got home from our 2 hour adventure at McCraes, 4 cops show up at our door, saying that the management at McCraes called them saying we left our baby in the car while we ate!! I was/am still furious with them. They didn't ask us or mention anything to us while we were there, they didn't even look at our car, they just watched us finish our meal, thinking we were neglecting our daughter, and took down my mom's car's license plate as we left. We had to explain the situation to the cops, who fortunately understood, and were also irritated that the manager didn't just ask us personally instead of called the cops on us. Needless to say I, nor ANY of my family, are EVER returning to that horrible, awful place. Had their service not sucked so horribly, none of this would have happened. It was their fault we even had to have our daughter taken home, and then THEY have the NERVE to accuse us of child neglect! I take my job as a full-time mother very seriously, and am hurt by these false allegations from these idiotic people. And to think, we even left a tip! If you go here with kids, you better announce everything you're doing to them, cause they may think you're abusing your children or something. Please don't waste your time here. I've never witnessed a restaurant so careless. Be especially careful if you choose to eat toast or a biscuit because it is quite possible that it ended up on the floor prior to being served to you. I witnessed this, as well as the unsafe practice of retrieving unused jelly containers from guest's plates, running them through the dishwasher and re-using them! If you are curious how they score for food safety, the last report was a score of 73 which is really bad. Alright, first of all, don't come here expecting a fancy breakfast. This is as simple as it gets. The food tastes GREAT, and the portions are HUGE and everything is under $10. The pancakes are bigger than most dinner plates, the chicken fried steak fills up a platter, and the 1lb burgers are out fo this world! top it off with a classic mom and pop breakfast/lunch feel.
