Why dopeople always complain if they dont educate themselves 1/18/2011

I have been an employee of this company for over 3 years and have been promoted several times and grown with this family owned company. I can say this company provides people with jobs that have been looking for jobs in this tough economy that would otherwise be on public assistance. I am very happy here, and know alot of my co workers are also. The promotions they offer are VERY good for homeowners/business owners. Grow up ungrateful ex-employees! more

DONT BELIEVE ALL THAT YOU READ 9/17/2010

i am a single mother living in vacaville California, I was very weary about the call i received from this company, when I had the gentlemen come out to my home, I asked him for some references of some happy customers in my area. Within 20 minutes i had a small list of few people I could contact. Affter contacting them all the response was very positive. Later that Evenening I went online and saw some of these negative reviews you see here about the company. So I called back to ask the rep what their response to this was. He asked me to look at the credibility of the statements and by whom they were made. more

Maximum Security, CA 8/12/2010

Hi everyone. I received a call from Maximum Security for a total home alarm system for FREE. They just want a yard sign placed at my home. I made an appointment. I then checked the computer for reviews and found alot of negative reviews. I call them back to cancel. The person I was talking to kept asking me to wait and talk with the sales people who were coming out to my home. I again told him I wanted to cancel and I would just stay with ADT. HE HUNG UP ON ME!!! By the way I live in Colorado. more

They Rip Off Their Own Employees 8/11/2010

Telemarketing is not only a tough gig, it is one of the very few employment options for a lot of people. Companies who use telemarketers to promote their product know that TMs are generally very vulnerable financially. I quit working for Maximum Security nearly a year ago and have yet to receive my last paycheck. When I went to the Labor Board for my first hearing, there was at least one other ex-employee who hadn't been paid either. Even though Maximum Security admitted to having ""lost"" my check, they still refuse to agree to a reasonable settlement. Even if (when?) the Commission finds in my favor, enforcing the order will be tough, since the company is based in another state. If you are shopping for a home security system, I would advise you to shop locally and research the companies' reputation with former and current employees. Before anyone chimes in with anti-telemarketer sentiments, please remember that it is a rough, low-paying job and often the only option a person has in terms of employment. Also, have some compassion for those who have worked and not been paid. Steer clear. more

Not to secure after all 7/16/2010

Do not go for any hustles or scams when it comes to getting security. The best thing to do is talk with law enforcement about the area in which you live and find a company who only uses direct employees to do installs. This company uses 3rd party contractors. Look if you want you're place safe use ADT or something like that. Pros: They can get you robbed faster than you can blink Cons: Fails to secure personal credit info & SSN client numbers more

Maximum Works with you 5/4/2010

Just wanted to say that i was worried about signing up for the system becuase i was worried about my job situation. About 8 months after i signed up I lost my job and was out of work for 2 months. I got another job, and that companyy went out of business 6 months later. All in all I have been slow on monthly payments twice now, and both times Maximum Security worked with me. I would apologize and they just kept telling me that as long as I kept in communication, and paid what i could when I had the money that everything would be fine. I have a very steady job right now, and I am so glad that they worked with me, becuase 3 weeks ago someone knocked on the door selling something when I was gone at work, and really freaked out my wife due to the weird questions he was asking, later that afternoon, when she returned from picking up our two kids from schooll, she noticed the same guy trying to get into the backyard. My wife pushed the panic on the remote and I got a call from Monitronics and the guy ran away. Pros: Helped me out big time Cons: havent expeienced any more

Very Professional, and Kind 4/15/2010

I just wanted to say that Maximum Security Is a very professional company. I live in the SF Bay Area and After having a representative come to my home, I decided that I wanted to proceed with the installation of the alarm system. The next Day I recieved some very bad news regarding the health of a close family member, and I was in such a hurry to get to the airport, I forgot to contact The company to inform them that I could not proceed with the installation at that time. Pros: Professional more

So glad we made this decision 4/13/2010

My mother got a call from a guy named Joe who told us we could get a free alarm system. I was pretty skeptical and got on the phone with the man, Joe told me to just let the consultant come out to the home and he would go over everything and there was no obligation. Pros: gave me everything we needed and then some Cons: not sure? more

Shady Company, Dont do Business with them 1/4/2010

Promises given my Maximum Security to Customers that have never been delivered and attempted cancellations by new customers that were never cancelled.\r Maximum Security signs new customers up on Alarm systems for 36 months which is a 3 year contract. In the contract, it states the customer can cancel any time in the first 72 hours without penalty.\r 1.) Customer A was promised by his sales representative that he would receive 3 months free and he never received that.\r 2.)Customer B called to cancel his contract within the first 72 hours and the sales person promised to reduce the rate down to $35.99 and gave 3 months free and customer never received that.\r 3.)Customer C, customer was promised 2 mths credit and this customer never received that.\r 4.) Customer D, the Customer sent an e-mail to the sales rep within the 72 hour window requesting to cancel and Maximum Security never cancelled the account. \r 5.) Customer E, One of the motion detectors does not work and never has worked. The customer was told to bypass this motion detector by a technician. The customer wishes to pay a lower priced package due to this motion detector not working. The customer choose the higher priced package for that one motion detector. Maximum Security is unwilling to let this customer pay for the lower priced package she is requesting.\r 6.) Customer F, the customer cancelled their contract within the 72 hour window and Maximum Security never cancelled the customer's account.\r 7.) Customer G, the customer was promised 3 months free by Maximum Security and never received that.\r 8.) Customer H,the customer stated that she chose the higher priced max pack which included one extra motion detector. Unfortunately the one motion detector in question is not working so the customer would like to have that one motion detector removed and pay for the lesser priced package and Maxiumum Security is unwilling to comprimise with the customer. \r 9.) Customer I, the customer cancelled within the 72 hours of signing their contract and Maximum Security did not cancel their account. Even though this customer does not have an alarm system, this customer is still getting billed for one.\r 10.) Customer J, Customer contacted maximum security regarding one of their motion detector not working. The customer was advised to bypass the motion detector. The customer was told by Maximum Security that the installer had a family emergency and that they would have to wait for a service technician. When the technician came out, the customer inquired about the family emergency, only to find out that Maximum Security had lied to the customer about the family emergency. Pros: No positives Cons: They Lie more

Great Company! 12/2/2009

I Just started working for this company 3 months ago. Honestly, when I first showed up for a interview, I had no idea what I was in for. There was nothing in the room, but chairs and applications. The whole company seem pretty fishy. After getting hire and going through the training the following day. I started to figure out the company. The turn over was unbelievable, I mean come on it is a telemarketing job. If your not making the company money, then your not making yourself any money. Everyone was given a couple of weeks to prove there skills. During the training, we had one-on-one help from the floor managers, giving us advise and tips on setting a lead; to not wasting our times on some people. Also, they didn't hire everyone that showed up to the interview! For the first couple of days if you needed help a floor manager was always there. We can't blame the company for suspending employee who aren't meeting there quotes. That's how a company runs. Same goes to Neiman Marcus. If you don't make you quote for that week your wasting the company money. The company is there to make money NOT friends. If you can't handle making your quotes then don't look for a job in sales. It's not a SCAM or a FAKE company. IT'S A REAL COMPANY TRYING TO MAKE IT, LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPANY. For everyone who rated the company a 1 star, don't be upset at the company for your bad phone skills. Instead of talking trash about a company your unhappy with, start your own telemarketing company and see if you enjoy wasting your money and thousand of people who aren't meeting there quotes each day. DON'T LET THE ""EX"" EMPLOYEE FOOL YOU, THERE A REASON WHY THERE A ""EX"" FYI, they have over 20 employees who started as a telemarketer and now holds upper levels management. With more then 5 years with the company. Pros: Gotta love that taco truck Cons: The bad music more

continued from last comment! 11/30/2009

Great! what I will do is have one of my security consultants stop by in the next day or two. They will give you all the information answer all of your questions and ill tell you what, if you like what we have to offer you can have the system at no charge to you and if not you have my permission to just shake hands and part as friends fair enough? (let them answer) Now the way the schedule looks we will be in your area tomorrow. Is tomorrow morning, afternoon, or evening going to be a good time to catchor home for about 15-20 minutes? (get all customers information, appt. daye and time) Now my promotional manager will be calling you back in the next few minutes to verify this information and to confirm the exact date and time that we will be stopping by. My manager will also give you a very important promotional number that you will need to give the consultant upon arrival. This number will let your consultant know that you are entitled to your system at no charge. Please have a pen handy and stay by the phone the next few minutes okay! so this is the same short time promotion that's been going on for the Last seven years! Not to mention when you get off the phone with us we send a signal to the printer which gives us all your information down to how much you make a year! DO NOT fall into their lies. The managers are great at lies especially Dave, Jeff, and Shurad or however u spell that grease monkeys name! ha let me tell u the have a book of what they call rebuttals on everyone's desk. this is the book of lies to cover the lies.... imma give u some of them: CANT AFFORD: well you know all of our promotional packages are only about a dollar a day. We have a few diff. pa packages to help fit your needs and most important your budget. You will also receive up to a 20% off your homeowners insurance policy. What I can do for you so you wont miss out on this limited tome offer is schedule a security consultant stop by for about 15-20 minutes tomorrow, would mornings afternoons, or evenings be better for you? I HAVE PETS: I appreciate that you have pets to help deter intruders, however dogs/pets cannot perform CPR or protect you or your home for a fire. and I'm sure if you feel anything like i do you would be devastated if anything ever happens to your pets since they are family right? I ALREADY HAVE A SYSTEM? How long have you been with the company? well are you on a contract? we can upgrade your system to our brandnew honneywell two way voice technology at no charge. NEVER SAY: would you like, can i, may i, are you interested? REPLACE WITH: i will, what i will do, or is that fair enough. anyways i would like to sue this company is anyone willing to sign a faxed petition? Pros: none whatso ever! Cons: everything possible! more

These guys suck! 11/22/2009

These losers call my house every week, despite being on the no call list. When I answerthere is no one on the other end. When I call the number listed on my caller ID no on picks up so I can't get these losers to stop wasting my time as I don't care much about theirs. Did I mention I live in NH and this is a CA company that I wouldn't so much as consider since they obviously don't know how to answer a phone or obey the law much less protect my interests. Maximum Security Sucks! Cons: They don't answer phones, won't accept calls, they suck more

Horrible Company I'd never do business with them 10/21/2009

We are on the do not call list, but they still won't leave us alone. Like you really need a company that ignores the law to provide your home security Cons: Won't stop calling more

great promotion good deal 10/19/2009

i know why people are ranting so much because they got fired! they couldnt make the quota, that in no way makes the company bad or the product bad. Yes it is a fast past job and they do let alot of people go, but alot of people have been working for them for years. it just depends on if the job is right for you, you wouldnt be a teacher if you dont like kids! They have a great deal going on for homeowners and a good quality made product. Dont let bitter ex-employees discourage you from taking advantage of this good deal to protect your family. Pros: ur geting a good deal Cons: 0 more

Maximum Security employees give a bad name..... 10/8/2009

I was an employee of Maximum. I sold an average of 5-7 systems a week for about 5 months. Sometimes to get of the sales you would have to call a manager and get a better monitoring rate or offer free month(s) of service. I started to get calls from my customers asking about their free month(s) and/or their 100.00USD referral that was promised. Nothing was ever given to the customers and or course the contract is sold to Monitronics (the monitoring company) so the customers end up on a dead end street. Read Monitronics reviews as well and check out the BBB reviews. I think they have a D- rating. They just want the sale and don't care how they get it or what they promise. Andy Higgins, Dave Higgins, Denise Higgins and Karen Higgins are all liars. I made money selling for these guys yes, but when I started to see what they do to customers, I bailed. Not worth it......Please beware!!! If you took the time to read this, then you were warned. Cons: They lie and cheat more

Bait and switch 10/5/2009

Bait and switch Cons: Could not do what they said. more

I know times are hard but this place will cause problems 9/13/2009

I went to the ""interview"", no receptionist, no one to greet us, and there were 23 of us for this ""interveiw"" People were not dressed for sucess to say the least, andi was shocked that 20 out of 23 came into the second part...only 4 were cut out after out 8 hour day of training... Pros: Hmm nothing Cons: everything more

fkn telemarketing jerks 6/10/2009

telemarketing imbeciles. persistent, like tropical squirty bowel movements. it says i have to have 200 characters, so, persistent, like tropical squirty bowel movements. Pros: they will eventually die Cons: not soon enough more

I worked there, they are a scam 6/8/2009

THey train you to never take no for an answer when any experienced telemarketer can tell you that you know within five seconds of a call whether you are going to to be wasting your time on said call or not. THey train you to be the worst pushiest type of TM; the kind everyone hates. After quitting upon discovering that the company and Monitronics (the alarm system they peddle) has hundreds of complaints filed about them about the country, I actually called back all of the appointments I set to warn them. I should have known. In this day and age you should always google a company you are interviewing for. THey don't even have their own website but you sure will find a lot of negative reviews from former employees and customers. Cons: Scamming scammers who scam more
