I had a problem where my car would not go faster than 40 MPH. I figured it was the transmission and brought it here for them to look at. They kept the car overnight and had no problem getting it fixed and back to me the following day. The problem turned out to be minor and I was very relieved. more

Matsco did the clutch in my Camaro recently. They had no problem when I asked for an upgraded stiffer clutch and installed a centerforce for me. The difference is night and day the way the car takes off now. Everyone their was friendly and they work pretty fast. more

I had a transmission in our caravan rebuilt here. This was 6 weeks ago and I have not had a single problem with it. They too care of the care and it is so nice to have reliable transportation again more

I recently was on vacation in Albuquerque and my 2005 F350 had a transmission problem. This place is dishonest, unorganized and it takes much longer than they tell you to fix your vehicle. Jerry Miller is the owner and a good salesman. He'll tell you he is the best and most honest but trust me he is rude and does poor work. I had to take my truck back to him after waiting 3 weeks for the repair because it broke down 200 miles East of Dallas. He then had to keep my truck another 2 weeks for a part that should have been replaced the first time. I have been informed that the positive reviews he has written on here are written by his friends that do not have their vehicles fixed there. I would suggest checking out these other so called ccustomers and filing a report for fraud when he rips you off. I can back my problems up 100%. HE IS A RIPOFF!!!!! DO NOT USE MATSCO!!! more

I was quite unsatisfied with not only the way I was treated at this place but how I was essentially tricked and blackmailed. I took my car in and was given a verbal estimate, the guy seemed nice enough so I took his word that all would be well. He was supposed to call me before doing any work on my car, I showed up and my car was in pieces. He then tells me that his estimate is now triple what he told me in person, and refused to give a written break down of the labor and parts. He then told me I had to pay him money TO GET MY OWN CAR BACK, after I had already put a 500$ payment down on the work. I suggest against going here unless you want to be ripped off and blackmailed into getting your own vehicle back when he decides you seem stupid enough to make a few extra dollars on. more

I have been a Matsco customer for over some 20+ years. With all of my visits to Matsco, I have found Jerry to very thorough with inspecting my vehicles. , I always for the most part, would go with Jerry?s recommendations. His vehicle inspection to me seem to be very thorough, and that?s why I go see Jerry rather it be safe than sorry . In my opinion, Jerry has never ?TRAPPED? me into a corner of fixing my vehicles. Weather it was minor maintenance to a major repair. I have once or twice declined work that was recommended to fixed, for economic reasons. Jerry has never pressured me into a bind, but always had clearly been short and sweet with recommendations. Jerry has never been shy to explain in detail, itemized cost and time, has always invited to drop in at the shop and show me all my old parts and new parts that have or is being replaced. I am a single Mom with children, and sketchy about taking my vehicle into any shop. Through word of mouth, and highly recommended I was told about Matsco and how I would be taken care of. I'm so glad I went to see Jerry Miller, not only did he save me money but also showed me my wear and tear of my brake issues and other recommendations. Another shop quoted me $600 more for my brake job!! Matsco had charged me less and offered me warranty. Jerry and his staff treated me with the utmost hospitality. I will recommend all my friends and family to give Matsco a call. Keep up the great work Matsco! more

I have been going to Matsco for probably 18-20 years. I have always found Jerry Miller to be friendly and courteous to me. I took my older truck in for a tranmission problem. After it was checked I was told there were other problems which would of course be more than the original estimate.Personally, I appreciate this bumper to bumper inspection. I don't always have the money to have everything fixed at once, but this gives me the option to decide WHAT I want to do and when I want to do it. I certainly want to know everything that is going on and at least have the option to fix it. Mr. Miller keep up the good work, your thorough diagnosis is important. I don't want to get caught on the road with a problem I didn't have the chance to fix. I feel confident sending my kid back to school in a car checked by Matsco. more

This man is a rip off. Jerry Miller, owner of Matsco Transmissions is rude and does not follow though with his promises. I took my vehicle to him and trusted him to rebuild my transmission for $1800. After he had the transmission out of the vehicle he calls me to inform me that the vehicle had many other problems which needed to be fixed so the transmission would work properly. The new total for all repairs was $4500. I asked him to forget it and I would pick my vehicle up. He tells me he already had the transmission out of the vehicle and to put it back in would cost me $500 without doing anything to it. I felt trapped and decided to get my vehicle fixed there. My vehicle does not run better and I would suggest before you pick Matsco you should try someone honest like Tranco or Budget. more

I took my 2003 Chevy Tahoe to Matsco Transmissions for a rebuilt transmission and was very pleased with the service I received. They went through my car and noted everything they found that needed attention. They do all automotive repairs and not just transmissions. They invited me to come to the shop so they could show me what they found. I went to the shop and they explained in detail everything they would be doing and showed me where the problems were and what it would take to fix them. WOW are they ever knowledgeable. I had my brakes replaced at a shop 2 weeks ago and asked them to go through the vehicle and let me know anything else that need attention. I explained to them that I would be taking my family on vacation to Oklahoma and did not need any problems. They told me everything looked great. Now I go to Matsco and they show me a radiator hose that was seeping and a few belts that were cracked and worn. I greatly appreciate the time Matsco took to bring my vehicle up to standards so I could enjoy a worry free vacation with my family. They took a little longer than I had planned but it was well worth the wait. All I have to say is if you want service you can trust go to Matsco. Pros: Ambience, Service, Trust Cons: Time more
