Parents and students beware, Terrible management. Although they require the parents or guardians to be financially responsible they only communicate via letters attached to the renters apt door. Their response time to fix problems is basically "" will get to it when we can"". The apts are old, the walkways and stairways are a safety hazard, the appliances are old and the rental rates for these old apts are high. more

Horrible, Horrible management, very rude and inconsiderate, price is way too high for all the troubles you have to go through with your appliances, washing/drying machines leave your clothes wet, and no matter how many times you call in your problems, they will not respond. I've gotten charged extra for the stupidest things, they are seldom available to talk to in person or on the phone (always voicemail, or come back later). Very disappointed and that is the reason I am leaving GLADLY. In my apartment particularly, the roof leaks while it's raining and i can hear rain drops on my ceiling. The bathroom sink and bathtub don't drain the water efficiently. I can go on and on... just sucks! more

I've rented at several different places around Austin and Marquis Management is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Besides the fact that they are extremely rude the moment after you've signed your lease, they will also try to scam you out of your deposit when you move out. I had several problems the entire time I lived at Camino Real and the management never took care of it. In addition, I always felt like the main manager lady was racist to me. I'm latino and she once inferred that Mexicans are bad leasers because they always make late payments! That type of behavior should not be allowed in this day and age. Do not lease from Marquis Management. They take advantage of students and will treat you horribly. Pros: Near Campus Cons: Bad management, dishonest, racist, and will scam you more

RENTERS BEWARE! \r 1) Marquis Management are not helpful with fixing broken appliances: for example our oven, stove and sink, which have ALL been having problems for 7 months, since we've moved in! \r 2) They also have surprise charges, and have now been letting themselves into our apartment without warning to show to prospective renters.. AS EARLY AS 8 IN THE MORNING! and just walk into our room while we are sleeping! We asked them to not continue doing that but they said we have no choice..\r 3) The on-site washer and dryers are disgusting and leave your cloths dirtier than before you washed them.. that is if the machines don't take your money first.... \r 4) For three months they have been working on the apartments roof, therefor leaving nails all over the parking lot (I'VE HAD 3 FLAT TIRES THIS YEAR) are you can hear people yelling, walking and hammering really early in the morning and ALL day long!! ALSO because of this, they will unexpectently turn off the water or air conditioning for hours at a time.\r (This list could go on and on)\r As for the management themselves, they are very rude, unhelpful, and it truly is one problem after another!!\r \r \r more
