best haircut in ny 3/13/2008

i found goland about 10 years ago thru allure magazine. i was so thrilled what he did to my hair,never looked that great. i live in the boston area,and make a special trip to ny to get my hair cut. it is so wort h it. my hair is very thick and curley and everywhere i went people had a hard time with it,sometimes i would leave a salon and i felt like i was wearing a helmet. goland does magic. more

Just Great Place to be! 3/12/2008

I have been going there for years, NEVER EVER had a bad experience. I have seen a number of stylists, with no drama. I jump between REDD, MARIA, SANAE they always take care of me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND any/all stylistS!!!!!!! Pros: always a great hairday more

10 year client at Mark Garrison! 3/12/2008

It is amazing that no matter how many times I have my hair cut by Mark, each time it gets better and better! I am always complimented when I leave the salon and even stopped on the street by strangers who inquire about my cut and color. My doormen even notice and always praise my haircuts when I return from the salon. I have always been very pleased with Mark?s professionalism, expertise and most importantly the finished product. He is a great stylist and definitely a master of his art! Although there is usually a wait for his creativity, it is very worthwhile! In the past 10 years that I have been going to him I have been disappointed! more

Great Hair Colorist 3/9/2008

I had been coloring my hair with store bought hair color for a long time and my hair became very dark and dull. I consulted with other hair colorist who had told me that unfortunately, I could not change my hair color without damaging. Someone recommended Joseph at Mark Garrison and I went for a consultation and he is so dedicated to achieve the results that you want that he goes an extra step... He spent 4 1/2 hours on my hair and did a great job. I am very pleased with the results and as long as I can afford, I will not go anywhere else for color. more

ONE OF THE BEST HAIR SALONS IN NEW YORK CITY 3/9/2008

The Mark Garrison Salon is where I have my hair highlighted by Joseph who is the best colorest I have ever used and also the nicest person you cauld meet. He has colored my hair for at least 15 years and does a great job each and every time. The staff is very friendly and accomadating and is always oferring you water with lemon,coffee or tea.people are always complimenting me on my hair and always ask where I had it done. I have sent many of my friends to Mark Garrison more

Bad Bangs 3/9/2008

I received several terrific haircuts from Tesa, and referred many friends to her as well. The last haircut I got from her, was the worst experience. I asked for a new look of bangs and she made me look like a punk rocker. She new very well that I live in a small town in Westchester and having a haircut like was not appropriate. Joseph is consistently excellent. I'm always thrilled with my hair color after Joseph works his magic. I've highlighted and colored my hair for 15 years and Joseph is tops -- every time. Wonderful staff, great scalp massages and blow-outs too. Always a wonderful experience at Mark Garrison. more

Incredible Cuts 3/7/2008

So I was giving a concert out of town and forgot to pack my curlers. Mark's cut was so good it didn't matter. I just combed and sang. This man is a genius with scissors. I have long, thin hair that looks poufy and wild after he's finished. The cut just gets better as it ages. It's worth every penny. more

Best Modern Long Hair Salon 3/7/2008

I have been a client of Mark Garrison for many years receiving a celebrity look each time I leave the salon. My hair is long and he cuts it so I have the ability to wear it curly or straight. I have always appreciated Mark for his professionalism and perfection but mostly it's his friendly and engaging personality that makes sitting in his chair so fun. When I explained to him that having long hair feels youthful..... he casually replied that it could go the other way, as well. Great hair, everytime! 3/7/2008

I absolutely love Mark Garrison's salon. The staff is amazing. I have my hair cut by Red and my color done by Patricia. I really have a fun time while they're working on me. They're easy to talk to while somehow managing to never get distracted from my hair. They do a fantastic job every time. I don't find it uncommon to have strangers stop me on the street to ask me where I get my hair done. I always happily send them off to Mark. If you want great hair, Mark Garrison's salon is a sure bet. more

What an experience . From the moment you walk in ,you feel part of Mark's family. Everything is so professional , with a warm feeling . My hair always looks like I just stepped out of a magazine when I leave. The cuts by Mark and the color by Patricia are sensational. I highly recommend going to this salon . Best Salon in NYC 3/7/2008

I've been going to Marc Garrison for about 4 years now and they are terrific! Luyba does my color and she is the best person i have ever gone to from the most expensive salons in the US to the cheapest. She is so talented and patient. She is a perfectionist and treats each person as if they are in her chair for the first time. The staff is exceptionally professional and always confirm appointments. The products Marc Garrison uses are also terrific. I recommend the hair masks. They are terrific treaments to take care of dry hair from coloring and sun damage. Although my name is Terence and here in the USA this is a men's name, I am a ?young? woman! I am from Brazil and in the first time that I stayed in NY, I went to the Mark Garrison salon to cut my hair. I know about the salon because one of most popular Brazilian's actresses cut her hairs in this salon. The actress has a website and she put her photos during her hair's treatment there. In these photos, she looked very happy and after she had cut, she took a lot of photos with a beautiful hair. Best Colorist Ever 3/6/2008

A friend recommended I try the Mark Garrison Salon after I told her I'm sick and tired of paid an exorbitant amount of money for highlights only to be consistently disappointed. I have dark brown hair but my highlights look like a natural honey golden color. ONly problem is they are addictive. The colorist's name is Edita, she is great. Indeed, the 20% discount prompted me to post this review. After my first few haircuts with Mark, he said he liked my color and asked which salon I went to. I told him I was using my colorist for years and that I liked his work. He recommended that I have a consultation with Joseph and that if I ever decided to give him a try there would be no charge if I wasn't completely satisfied. That was seven years ago. My color is so natural thanks to Joseph's talent. more

Best Hair coloring and haircut 3/5/2008

My friend referred me here for highlights after several bad experiences elsewhere in the city. She sent me to Joseph who is the best. He is really an artist who knows hair texture, color and style better than anyone else i have been to, and i have been to them all. After a few years of having my hair highlighted-i decided to get a cut downstairs and someone referred me to Red. I get so many compliments on my haircut and color i am always saying. oh, mark garrison, go to Joseph and get the cut by Red. Everyone i have sent has thanked me. You won't be upset!
