My daughter began dancing at Marilyn's when she turned 3, she is almost 9 now. All the people involved in studio are kind, nice and fun to be around. All the teacher there really know what they are doing and most of all care a great deal about all the students. Her prices are affordable and the recitals are tasteful unlike some others I have seen. Your kids and even adults for that matter would love, love this studio!!!! more

Mad About Dance 6/26/2011

My daughter has been dancing at Marilyn's since she was 3. I knew she had a physical aptitude towards dancing when she would stand on her head at home. I wanted her to get the training she needed to develop her God-given gift. When I called Marilyn, she was welcoming and made it easy. Everyone who knows Marilyn, knows they will get a classical, solid dance education with kids being kids in their appropriate dancing. Marilyn's has become a great community for my daughter and myself, and I have made good friends there for both of us. We are treated like we are just as good as anyone else, and help is there when you need it. It's a great place to develop self-confidence, self-discipline, and stage presence. I have tons of friends who have danced there themselves! more

We have been going to Marilyn's for about 8 years now and my daughter loves it there. The teachers are great and Marilyn is a sweetheart. Through the years, great friendships have developed not only for my daughter but for me as well. We love our dance family! more

Great Studio! 6/26/2011

This studio has been fabulous and we just finished our 7th recital with Marilyn's. The teachers are knowledgeable, professional and have such fun teaching the kids. Our son and daughter love their classes so much that they want to go even when they don't feel well. Marilyn truly cares about all of the dancers (and their parents) and it really feels like a dance family! more

Marilyn's is like one big family, yet very professional and well managed. Our daughters love it there and have developed into some very talented young ladies. There is so much to offer at Marilyn's starting with the tiny tots all the way to adult classes as well as the Amazing Dancin Dads! We couldn't be more pleased!!! more

AWESOME STUDIO!! 6/25/2011

I have had some sort of dealings with this studio for 14 years, through my little sister that dances there, my son's that dance there and my nieces and nephew that dance there and it is an AWESOME studio. They treat the kids like they are family! The teachers are all awesome and the lessons the kids learns besides dance are priceless. The vast majority of the kids that attend are great students in school and I firmly believe it is because of the disipline that learn from the studio. If your looking for a fun, safe, rewarding and all around great place for you dancer you need to check out Marilyn's Academy of Dance! more

Love the teachers and the classes! I've been sending my daughters for 5 years and we love the variety of classes. I just started taking Zumba myself. Very family friendly environment and much less expensive than other dance studio's nearby. more

LOVE MARILYN'S! 6/25/2011

We just finished our 7th recital at Marilyn's and couldn't be happier! Our daughter and son both dance there and love it so much that they want to go to class even if they aren't feeling well. The teachers are very enthusiastic and really enjoy working with the kids. Our children have learned so much there and we couldn't be more pleased. Best of all, Marilyn truly cares about all of her students (and the parents too) - it's like a dance family! more

Family Envioronment 6/25/2011

We switched to Marilyn's summer 0f 2006. My 2 daughters dance techniques improved tremendously. We met many good friends there. I always refer people to her studio knowing they will have a great experience as adults and their children will have an awesome time with her very fun talented and experienced teachers. more

AWESOME STUDIO!! 6/25/2011

I am a mom to 2 teenage boys who both take dance at Marilyn's Academy of Dance and because they are boys it could have been a uncomfortable experiance, but they have always been treated just AWESOME. This studio treast the kids like they are FAMILY, not just another $$$ walking through the door. If you looking for a place for you kids to dance or if you are wanting to start lessons check out Marilyn's you will LOVE it!! more

Marilyn's Academy of Dance is outstanding! 6/25/2011

Marilyn's has been a wonderful place for my daughters to grow up. Not only have they become amazing dancers, but also quality young adults. The teachers are not only highly technically trained, but worry about the childrens' self-esteem and what it takes to make them both more confident and happy. When my children were very young, we started in another studio, which was not only much more expensive, but the children weren't the most important thing money was. Marilyn's has always been about the children, and family. They offer all types of dance for the children, but she also takes care of the adults as well, hip hop for both moms & dads, tap for adults and even Zumba classes. I highly recommend this studio. more

rude and obnoxious 3/20/2011

At first we thought this was going to be the best studio but then one day i came to class but my teacher was not there and it wasnt my class time. Only being 6 years old i told my dad its not my time and then the teacher grabbed me and said stop fibbing youre a liar THE EXPRIENCE WAS HORRIBLE! NEVER EVER WILL I SET FOOT IN MARILYNS AGAIN! more

No More Mean Things 1/21/2011

My best friend has been attending dance classes and workshops since she was four years old at MAD and never once has Marilyn said one single mean thing to her or any members of her family. The several occiasions I've had to meet Marilyn shes been overly friendly and outgoing with me. The classes are amazing and though their pricing may not be the best there are scholarships or partial loans available if you need it. They are very cooperative with anyone who tries to attend or even visit their studio and I've never had any problems with the staff. Also, the girls that dance are some of the best dancers I've ever seen and the teachers are warm and hilarious. more

Mean Girl Mom's DONT JOIN! 11/5/2010

We danced for 1 year that was all I could take of the MOM's I never seen so many mom's kiss the owners butt in my life. If you did not get in the popular mom's you were made to feel like mean girl highschool again. I thought maybe the owner does not see this how could she NOT. Sad the girls were sweet the mom's were so out of control. \r \r We loved the teachers Kim, Jennie to bad for the mean girl moms and a owner who turns her head to problems! 70.00 for costumes they only got to wear 1 time! We have now moved to a real great studio who travels to conventions in CA, and NV. Do your homework. more

Disappointed 9/29/2010

My daughter attended Marilyn's for about a year. I agree with the other reviewers about Marilyn not being very friendly. I got the impression that if my daughter did not attend multiple classes that I was not worth Marilyn's time. I signed up to be a backstage mom for my daughter's first recital because I didn't know what to expect. I was supposed to be with 3 other moms for both days. Day 1 was fine. Day 2 I was all by myself, in charge of 12 girls ages 4 and 5. When I emailed Marilyn about it expressing my disappointment, she just said she would ask the other moms what happened, but she never followed up with me. My concern is that if I hadn't been there, my daughter's class would have been backstage completely unsupervised because the other moms had their own classes to worry about. Lastly, my daughter missed the first class of the next session because it wasn't communicated when the old session ended and the new session began. I enrolled her elsewhere after that. The tea more

Stunk 9/16/2010

I went here for a while and although the teachers are excellent (Patrick and Loretta, especially) I ultimately quit because the owner, Marilyn, is totally rude. She does not know how to talk to people and has a really bad attitude. I had something really personal happen to me two days before the annual recital. Marilyn actually had the nerve to call me the day of my operation and ask if I was still coming to the recital that weekend. Gee, where's the compassion? I had only lost my baby.\r \r Honestly I am never coming back here again. To be treated the way I was treated the few times by the owner is ridiculous. The customer service skills here are atrocious. more

Good Studio 8/12/2010

My daughter has attended for a few years and enjoys what they have to offer. I wish their recitals were a bit more affordable, i.e the costume and everything else you have to purchase to go with it along with tickets, pictures, and everything else. more
