Worst

Tea is old tea that they serve for 2bucks more. Management is one of the worst i've ever seen and don't seem like honest people in the least.

I guess a 25% tip is customary. That must be the reason they didn't bother to bring back my change. It reminds me of the time they doubled the buffet price because it was Father's day, but didn't bother to tell us until we recieved the bill, or the time the food was not edibe but didn't offer to exchange it, or provide a refund. This is my last bad experience with terrible management. We won't be going back. more

Not the best Indian food 5/23/2012

We have ordered food to go from there atleast 6-10 times in the last 7 years that we have lived in Katy. The food is always o.k but we don't have a choice in Katy for Indian Food. Last time we ordered, about 6 months ago our chicken tikka was under cooked and pink in the middle we called to complain and they told us to just grill it at home for a few more minutes and they would give us a discount next time we ordered from them. Tried them again last night. Chicken tikka was under cooked again and there was a long black hair in my onion bahji. We won't be eating there again. more

Mantra is not closed. 2/14/2012

Indian restaurants have opened and closed within a short space of time in Katy because they cannot compete Mantra's delicious food and reasonable prices. I eat there as often as I can. If you're a fan of Indian food try it, you will not be disappointed. For all the British ex-pats out there, it is the closest you will get to back home here in Houston. more

Great Food, Great Service, Great Prices! 12/3/2010

I can't believe it took us this long to finally try this gem. Lots of easy parking, we were greeted with a smile and asked where we wanted to sit ( instead of being told ). Really nice authentic environment, but not too gaudy. We tried the Mulugutwany Soup and Hari Bhari Vegetable Cutlets for our appetizers.....BEST WE EVER HAD! They have an extensive entree menu, but we could not resist the Tandoori Jhinga from their clay oven. Fresh and very tasty. I will try one of their many lamb dishes on my next visit. Clean, friendly, and not too pricey...we will be going back...often! more

Best Indian food, great atmosphere, not crowded. 10/13/2008

I have been to numerous Indian restuarants. This one is hands down on top. Great choices on menu and even better prices. Open space, lots of Indian restuarants have their customers crammed in. Staff is always prompt and friendly. more

A fairly new place. A pretty nicely decorated place with live music on the weekends. Reasonably price. Had the vegetarian plate and a yogurt drink. Very satisfied but not overly wowed. They do lunch buffets as well. Nice to have an Indian place in Katy. Pros: curry, ambience, staff more
