Mannie & Bo's Pizzeria

Shame on you, Adam Lambert (or that's what you claim your name to be according to the Facebook posts bashing our wonder server, Jessica). For anyone who actually cares to hear what really happened, here is the deal...\r \r Jessica, their server, took the drink order within 3 minutes of arrival, and I was helping behind the bar. I made the ""Broncorita"" myself--Broncorita=­Hornitas, triple sec, blue caracao, sweet & sour, salt rim, orange slice. When I placed the drink at the bar, it was all good. Within 2 minutes of getting the drink, Jessica informed us that there is a bug (fly) in it. Well, low and behold, there is a fly! Now, keep in mind folks reading this, we had a PACKED house, and people were complaining they were HOT & since the AC units are covered on the roof we could not turn the AC on, so we opened both doors to let some cool air in. I suppose that when we did that a fly or two or five flew in. Well, one of them landed in this table's cocktail.\r \r After bringing it to our attention, we dumped the cocktail and made a fresh one which I followed up with the gal that ordered it, and she, indeed, found it delicious (as did the fly, I'm sure). \r \r Here's the deal... on a 64.77 tab, they tipped their server, Jessica, ZERO. ZERO. Jessica is an excellent server. EXCELLENT! In 2 years she has been with us, she has NEVER, I mean NEVER had 1 complaint. So tonight, because the owners decided not to cave into your plea for a discount, you blame it on the server? It was not HER fault the owners didn't COMP you one of your cocktails. Is this how you conduct yourselves everywhere you go? You have an issue with food or drinks and you STIFF your server? Then to top it off, you come to the internet and LIE about the food & service? Our video survellience shows the four of you eating, laughing, and having a great time (until the check came) so because of this cocktail issue you create lies? Give me a break! more

Wow, I can see I'm not the only one who has received very poor customer service from this horrible place! I did not receive what I ordered via delivery and the owner (yeah, that's right - the owner!) not only did not offer to make it right but said I should listen better next time they read my order back and when I said that's not good customer service, he said ""Too bad"" and actually hung up on me!! Yikes! I can't believe these guys are still in business! I will definitely be telling all my friends, family and neighbors in Golden to give this place a wide berth! All this over some cheese toast!! Wow...that's about all I can say...wow. more

This place is lousy. The owners do not care about customer satisfaction or delivering a product you would want. Delivery was way late and both pizzas were cold and smashed. We called to complain and the owner's wife freaked. The only option she gave was to return the whole pies for a refund or return the whole pies for replacement-- but they were on an hour to an hour and a half wait! With a kitchen being gutted and a starving 4 and 6 yeard old needing to go to bed, neither was an option. She did not care. When I said I just wouldn t order from them again she said ""yeah, you'll be back in two weeks."" more

The service was poor and the pizza was greasy. But, when we brought it to the attention of the owners wife, there was more confusion as she became defensive and hysterical. There was no accountability. Customer satisfaction was impossible. We will not eat here ever again. more

Worst customer service I have ever received dinning out. Owners and waitress very rude. Waited for an hour for our food decided to leave. Was told by owner never to come back. I hope everyone reads the reviews of these people and stays far away. People as rude as this will eventually have no customers. more

Holy cow, does this situation sound familiar or what? I just read a similar experience to ours and we DEFINITELY did not have any coupons and we ARE NOT scammers. In fact, we WERE regular customers. It is disheartening that this establishment cannot admit when they make a mistake and offer to fix it but instead they have to blame everything on the patron who just wanted a good meal, to relax and have someone else take care of them for a change………. My husband and I have been going to Mannie and Bo's for over 15 years at least a couple of times a month and the service and quality of the food has normally been good. However, this week I cut into my calzone and a greasy, bloody juice flowed out onto my plate. We are not talking a little grease here as it t took up my entire plate so I immediately picked up the calzone because I did not want it soaking up all of that nasty juice. The waitress immediately saw it and apologized and told me to put the calzone back on the plate because they were going to remake my calzone. About 5 minutes later, a very frustrated person approached our table while running one of his hands through his hair and proceeded to slam the calzone on the table and opened up the now cold calzone with his hands (one of which he had just ran through his hair) and told me that he was the owner, had been in the business for more than 40 years, that the calzone was okay in his definition, they put it on a new plate...even though it soaked up the nasty juice, and that he WAS NOT going to make me a new one. I felt sorry for the waitress who was almost in tears and apologized profusely. Too bad the owner cannot take care of the food and let the waitresses take care of the customers as it would have turned out completely different if he had. Nasty food, terrible customer service, and they lost a customer for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

The management is rude. If you want proof, look at the responses to their customers on any of these review websites: any customer that has a problem at their restaurant is a liar and is berated for posting a negative comment. That seems to be the case in-house too, where it seems that the customer is never right. I like the food and the servers, but I will not be returning based on the attitude. more

I apologize for responding to a review with a review but for some reason cannot comment on this. Not sure why. Here's what happened. You ordered a 'zone with FRESH MEATBALL. Our meatball goes in the 'zone raw. Some grease does cook into it. When you cut it open, it seeps red b/c THERE'S RED SAUCE IN THE 'ZONE. We explained this to you but you insisted the mb was raw. Impossible. We cook the 'zone for 25 min in 450 oven! How can it be RAW? I was there when Bo explained this & NOT ONCE did he touch your food/plate. Why would you on here & make up such a crazy story? Our 'zones are all cooked the same amount of time/same oven/same way. Why would it change on the day you ordered? BTW, the other table told us you 2 were scammers. They heard you discussing how mad you were that we wouldn't let you use your expired coupon. Cut it out & quit exaggerating. more

On a recent visit one of our calazones came out with a greasy red liquid running out all over the plate. I could not believe Bo's tableside manner as he came from the kitchen touching the inside ingredients and stated "I will not make you another" then threw the plate on the table. Even the other customers were silenced by his behavior. Beware of the calazone Nazi! more

I love the calzones at Mannie & Bo's, the taco one is delicious, but meatball, mushroom and cream cheese has become my favorite. The happy hour deals are great! The service is always friendly and quick. Great place! more

Wow, we have been coming here for years and just recently Bo came back into the fold and the service and food have only gotten better. We love the Taco Calzone and Taco Pizza. Bo is super friendly and comes out to greet patrons like a good owner/Cook should do. Low prices during Happy Hour, great beer selection and we can't wait till the remodel of the bar is done. A must stop if you are in the mood for Pizza. Try the Sausage pizza special - Wow! Homemade sausage and a ton of cheese. Thanks Mannie and Bo's for providing my wife and I with a teriffic time and great value! By the way, the ""Bar Wench"" Sandra is the best!!! more
