I had my LASIK done at MLC in 2011 and by far has been the best thing I have ever done in my life; from being very near sighted and basically handicapped by glasses and contacts to having 20/20 vision without is an absolute blessing. I hate to sound cheesy but it literally has made me feel like a brand new person. I am very athletic and having to wear contacts while playing sports was extremely annoying and uncomfortable but now I have one less thing I have to worry about when I'm on the field. \r \r The cost of my LASIK was a bit pricey but now looking back and reflecting on it, it has been worth every penny. It has made my life 1000x easier and it is one less thing I have to worry about. \r \r I have recommended MLC to all of my family members and friends and will continue to do so. Been meaning to get the surgery for years but always had some conflicts or reason that popped up prevented me from doing it until this year, i finally had the flexible spending set up so i had to do it or lose the money.I saw a few ads online which i went for consultations and then i saw their ad online so i decided to call. I wanted see a few places before deciding. I set up the consultation over the phone and it was easy. they put in in for 3 days later because they were very busy. phone girl was polite and worked with my time because i didn't want to miss work for my consultation. They text and called a day before to remind me of my consultation so that was nice. Showed up to the consultation to a very modern office with a nice staff who greeted me. They offered water and showed me around the facility. Filled out all my information on a touch pad device that was very cool and modern. Waited about 10 min and then some measurements were performed. They spent a lot of time talking about the Lasiks and the benefits, the different devices and equipments that they have. They dilated my eyes to check and did further tests which was really cool. I met the Doctors and got a full exam about my eyes.They all took their time with me and did not rush at all and I really liked that even though the place was very busy. After about 45 minutes they said everything looks great and i am a great candidate for the Lasiks. I then met a finance person who walked me through the payment options. It was easier than i expected and i wanted to do the surgery soon. The price here was very reasonable since i did go to a few other places to compare so we set up the date a week later. He helped with the flex spending because it was confusing and set me up with a 0 zero percent financing payment option.The day of surgery i came in with someone and it took about 3 hours but its your eyes so i didn't want them to rush it. They did a lot of measurements and went over the meds with me. The surgery took about 15 minutes and i was done. There is no pain at all. Just the instrument they put to open the eye was a little pressure. The Doctor talks you through the whole procedure and kept telling me i am doing excellent. There is a red and green light that you have to look at. before i knew it, it was done. I had to sit in the dark room for 10 min and then i was allowed to go home. That night i slept and it felt like i had a lash in my eye. a little discomfort but nothing crazy. The next morning i woke up and i was in disbelief, I can see without my glasses. Overall i really love my new vision and this group was really nice to work with so i really recommend anyone to at least visit them for a consultation if you want to get rid of glasses and contacts forever!\r \r \r \r \r \r more

I had a horrible experience there. Not about the doc or the surgery. They were great. \r \r I was fooled by the sales guy over and over again. He got me in to do the surgery at $800 cheaper than original quote since I found a better deal elsewhere. But, 5 min before my surgery, when I was ready to pay, he wanted the original quote! What is his excuse? He said that the other place I found was offering a different technology, so it's like comparing Apples to Oranges. Why didn't he confirm that before asking me to schedule for the surgery? Worse yet, after he spoke with his ""manager"", he said that his cost to do my LASIK is $200 more than the quote we agreed on! So, how could he have agreed to do the surgery at below his cost? He thought I was retarded or he just doesn't know how to do business? \r \r Furthermore, someone else wrote a review on y.e.l.p., and he literally accused me of writing the review, and then tried to buy off my supposed review. When I told him it wasn't him or my family that wrote it, and when he is finally convinced I was speaking the truth, he just said bye. During this conversation, I specifically told him I was not happy with the experience b/c I feel like this was bait and switch. Just b/c I didn't write a review, he didn't want to do anything to make my experience better. \r \r Well, now here is my review. I don't expect I will get my money back. But at least the general public knows, and will make a wise decision. \r \r UPDATE - \r \r I was stopped by another sales guy during my follow up since he showed interested in hearing my story. But soon, I felt like I was being brushed off b/c he kept on emphasizing that all I should really think about is how successful my surgery was. I said yes, I am happy so far with the surgery, but thought... if the surgery wasn't successful, you think I would be this calm sitting in front of you and not suing your practice? Well, since I feel he didn't want to listen anymore, and I get nothing out of it, I left the office unhappy again. \r \r I decided to let this go afterwards because I just want to move on. Again, I do want to say that the doctors were extremely nice and I was very satisfied with them... just not with their sales team at all. \r \r Fast forward to November. My vision is no longer as good as when I first did my surgery, but that may be due to different reasons. I have not made appts for follow ups because I am too busy to make the 2 hour drive, and I also did not want to be talked by another sales guy again, although the latter is not the main reason. \r \r I am now receiving an attorney letter from them, saying that my reviews and posts were false accusations and being defamatory toward their client. I will be replying to them, asking them which part was misleading and false? I will and have removed names and exact prices since I do understand it may be a bit too much, but the reason why I put them up before was so people know it is TRUE, and I am not making things up. \r more
