We live in Oklahoma, but had found Maid In Heaven on line as I wanted to purchase a gift certificate for my daughter who lives in Charlotte. It was easy! The gift certificate was emailed to me and I was able to enclose it in her birthday card. My daughter called again to thank us for the gift. Maid In Heaven had been out that day to clean. She was so pleased with the cleaners and the job that they had done. lol....she has already begun her Christmas list. i.e. she is hoping for another gift certificate from Maid In Heaven in her stocking this year. more

Over the years have used many cleaning services, but this one stands out among the rest. Good service, reasonable prices, excellent cleaners. Just top notch all around. more

Maid In Heaven cleaned my home yesterday. Beth was very understanding of my specific needs, and most accommodating as to scheduling. The two ladies that came to clean; Adriana and Ana were pleasant, rolled up their sleeves so to speak and did an outstanding job in cleaning my home. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am not a former employee, but I have had Maid in Heaven do cleaning for me on several occasions. At first I was happy, because it seems as though they know how to clean. Unfortunately, they did not clean what I asked them to clean. On a couple of occasions, I asked them to clean only the downstairs. Instead they cleaned the upstairs, according to their normal procedures. The first time it happened I felt like it was an honest mistake, maybe a miscommunication. I spoke to Beth about it and let it go. The next time, they did the same thing. Beth said that she was not going to refund my money or come back and do it again unless I paid for it. A good business professional who wants to retain customers should go ahead and do the cleaning at no add'l charge since that is what I paid for anyway. I was already a repeat customer who had given a referral, and she treated me like I had done her wrong. I won't ever use them again. There are other cleaning agencies around that do good work. They had no documented paperwork or anything that could establish what type of service was promised or would be promised in the future. If so, we could have referred to the paperwork to prove what services should be rendered and for what amount. Beth's word is not enough. If you use them, make sure you see what they've done before you pay them. Pros: They know how to clean Cons: Inexperienced business professionals more

I don't often write a lot of reviews, but sometimes things just stand out that dramatically. The service that Maid In Heaven provided to us was a full house cleaning (vacuum, dust, bathrooms, kitchen, etc). The staff was wonderful. They were prompt, worked the whole time they were there, took great care and pride in what they did, and overall just really did a ""top shelf"" job with everything. It was really nice to come home to the smell of clean! Everything looked fantastic as well. I got this for my wife as a birthday gift (at her request!). The smile that she had when I come home that day said it all to me. She could not have been much more pleased with everything. She was really grateful. She's due with our third child (and third daughter) in about 10 weeks and couldn't have been more happy to not have to deal with cleaning the house. The ONLY problem now is I have to have them back more regularly... :) Pros: prompt, considerate, quality work, above and beyond Cons: NONE. more

The cleaner was prompt, pleasant, and did a fantastic job. She brought her own cleaning supplies which was great as I didn't need to go and purchase anything before my house was cleaned. more

This cleaning service is horrible. The maids are okay, but the owner has a nasty attitude. I would not recommend this service to anyone more

The service started out great the first several visits. Then earlier this year, they just stopped showing up and stopped answering their phones. I had an appointment the week before Christmas when I had a house full of guest coming. No one came and when I called the main office, no one answered the phone and no one returned my calls. Several months later they called me out of the blue to confirm my ""regular appointment"" like nothing ever happend. I told them I would give them one more chance...We were back on track (I thought) then they just started showing up at different times in the day - different from the times they said they were going to show up. Pros: You can get the same people everytime to come and clean. Cons: You could never count on them to have actually put your appointment in the books. more

My continued experience, 3 years, with Maid in Heaven has been one of complete satisfaction. The reason I say complete is because they make it complete. Whenever anyone did a less than satisfactory job they returned promptly to fix what they missed. They have always called back and asked if I was pleased with the service as well as tell me they appreciate our business. Not many do that in this day and time. Seldom do you find someone you can talk to that genuinely cares about you and what you want. I cannot speak highly enough of my experiences but I do hope that word gets around as to how great things can be when it comes to service. I hope that anyone looking for a maid service reads this. My husband heard ads for this company on a.m. radio. January 14, 2008: I contacted the owner (Diane) who explained their services and company policies. An initial cleaning was scheduled for the next day by Tiara. It was pricey and by the hour versus by the job, which we have preferred in the past. Numerous items noted at the initial walk through were not done and some only after asking Tiara 3 times. At 5 hours she came to me saying she was done. We were scheduled for 5-1/2 hours and the job was far from done, as evidenced by ketchup on the kitchen granite countertop (obvious spot in front of toaster), a full waste-basket in my office sitting next to me, mirrors and glass surfaces were wiped with a damp rag and no glass cleaner used (streaks everywhere, as well as my watching her clean sun room glass top table thusly), dust on towel and toilet paper holders, kitchen stove grates not touched nor kitchen granite counters (asked to use our spray cleaner and it was not done at all), and hall entry picture not dusted on top (per company standard cleaning). An additional 1/2 hour was spent fixing things that should have been done. Home did not feel or look clean. Diane promised follow-up the day after the first service, but called two days later. We had already fixed several items and had typed a whole page list of items that were e-mailed to her. She said she would discuss with Tiara and get back to us promising this was not the norm . It has been 11 days post this service and Diane will not return my phone calls after leaving several calm messages to at least discuss what her staff member said regarding the matter. We find this very unprofessional and for $140 (cash only for first time!) EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this service. We are trying a new service this week for much less money that charges by the job. Thanks Diane for your failure to follow through and losing good clients, as well as referrals from our new and large community. Pros: Got us on the schedule quickly Cons: Everything else. Never will use or recommend this service again! more

I waited all day for an interview that I had with Beth of Maid in Heaven (bdannerhauer). The next day I called to see what the problem was. Beth informed me that she felf very uncomfortable because she did not see a 'white face'. She said that she had a family that depended on her so she could not put herself in jeopardy. Beth went on to say that the boarded up houses made her feel very unsafe. There are two sets of boarded apartments (2 apartments each), owned by 'white people', ready for rental and 2 houses being renovated for 'white people', by white people, on my street. Had she circled the block or came back later, she would have seen 'white people' jogging, walking their dogs, waiting on the bus, working on their houses, etc. I live off of Tuckaseegee in the Enderly Park Community, near Freedom Drive, near Seversville. Beth is vey much unaware of the 'regentrification' situation that is going on in this community. She did not even have the decency to phone me to let me know that she was not coming. However, my question to her is, ""Beth, what is your real problem?"" more

I have used Maid In Heaven off and on for about 10 years. When I am in need of a cleaning (unexpected company, my in laws will be visiting, or I just don't want to do it myself!), I place a phone call and schedule the cleaning. Everyone who has come to my house to clean has done a terrific job. I happily recommend Maid In Heaven. more

Used Maid In Heaven for the first time last week for my elderly parents. Diane (the one who answered the phone) was very helpful and understanding in regards to our special needs. She called the day before to remind me that the cleaning was the next day, then as promised, she called to make sure we were pleased with the service. My parents are getting up in years and at times communication is difficult. The lady that was sent to clean for them couldn't have been nicer to my parents, not to mention the beautiful cleaning job she did. The house hadn't been cleaned in a long long time and it was just too much to get done in one visit. We had her come for 4 hours to get started. The rooms she finished look and smell great! more

My experience with Maid in Heaven was definitely not a good one. As for the maids themselves (there were two) I suppose I can say they were 'okay'...but making arrangements with the office manager was quite difficult. She gave me the schedule that the maids could be there; therefore, I made arrangements for the exterminators and landscapers to come another time so there would be no problem with traffic, etc. (I was getting a house back into 'move in' condition). After re-arranging things to suit the Maid in Heaven schedule they called and changed the time. I was unhappy with this, BUT changed the time of exterminator so as not to coincide. THEN she proceeded to tell me there would be only two people coming (there were to be three originally). In fact, they were all to come at 1:00 which would have freed up the morning for the other workers. One maid she informed me (after the orginal scheduling) was coming at 9:00 a.m., the other at 2:00. She was not concerned that I had re-arranged a schedule. She implied more or less that I could 'take it or leave it'..Unfortunately, I took it. more
