This man is a rip off and a con. His license is suspended. Can't get ahold of him. Refuses to deal with the situation. Only part of the work was done! Cons: Ripped off my 78 year old mom! more

They Didn't finish the job and won't come back to finish it! My new furnace was installed over 2 months ago and Madrid Heating still needs to come back to patch the stucco for a hole that they made for a new vent. I was told they would come back within days, and I've been chasing them on the phone since then. Left many messages over 8 weeks, they never returned my call. When finally talked to Elmer he promised to get back to me within a couple of days... after another week or waiting, he scheduled a visit to finish the job... AND DIDN'T SHOW UP THAT DAY. No call, no apology, nothing. I can't get a hold of Elmer. more

I was referred to Madrid Heating by online site. Our project was the replacement of 1960s style gravity furnace with new furnace and new ductwork, also the replacement of the water heater with tankless system. Elmer Madrid is a very honest businessman and knows his trade well having been in the heating business since the 1970s. He is very confident in his work. He is very patient when going over the options with the customer and listens to our concerns and questions. His workers were skilled and swift. They went the extra mile for us not leaving us one night without furnace heat or hot water. Pros: Bent over backwards to accomodate us! Cons: He's a busy man and definitely has a full schedule, call early! more

Project estimation, installation & replacement of 4 furnaces went somewhat well, but poor comprehensive customer service was where Elmer Madrid fell short. My fellow condo owners and I are all still awaiting proper receipts for filing for the purchase and installation of our 4 new furnaces installed in late Dec. 2006. What is most frustrating though is that we are all still waiting for the official city permits for each of the 4 new furnaces that we paid $100 per unit back on 12/21/06. I have requested more than ten times over the past months via phone and email - about 1 to 2 times per month - directly to Elmer Madrid to provide us with the official city permits for the new furnaces to no avail as well as asking to when we may get the official receipts of purchase for our furnaces. Therefore, I would definitely strongly recommend against doing future business with this company, as they are unable to complete projects and have taken monies for official permitting and deceptively misused. We are very frustrated and will make every effort to communicate to the market-at-large that Madrid Heating is unethical in their business practices. Pros: Efficiency in delivering and installing new furnaces and handling unforeseen problems relating to functioning throughout 4 condos. Cons: Lack of delivery of permits and receipts for purchase of 4 furnaces necessary for city files. more
