I have received an excellent cut from Jenna McLurkin. Jenna is very cool who really puts thought into the haircut and is nice to talk to as well.She is professional and upfront about her observations.Jenna listened to my request and was really a good conversationalist. I've been trying out new hair stylists for a while, and I'm happy to say that I've finally found the one! I think she's definitely good at what she does. I had my hair cut short and it turned out to be pretty.\r I highly recommend this place and I will definitely go back.My husband LOVED my hair do. He said it was the best my hair has ever looked and that I should always go to Lux salon.\r \r Thanks Jenna.. You're amazing.!!!\r \r I would 100% recommend it. more

I recently relocated back to Raleigh from Chicago, and was looking for a great salon for highlighting, color and hair cuts. I read many wonderful reviews about the stylist @ LUX Salon. Jenna did my color retouch, & helped to fix a not so good (previous) haircut. The Lux staff is very friendly, and Im pleased with my hair results. \r P.S. I'm very picky about my hair too. more

I went in for the first time at the salon to get a trim and highlights. My stylist was Chelsea Lowery and she did a fantastic job! she took the time to ask me exactly what I wanted, and followed my instructions to a T (i hate when i ask for a trim and hair stylist cut off 2 inches- no!) Chelsea trimmed my hair perfectly and my highlights were amazing- i got so many compliments on how shiny and blonde my hair was...b/c you can never be too blonde. Also side note: the new salon is so cute and stylish inside! more

My hair stylist at Lux is Jenna McLurkin and I can't say enough nice things about her. She pays attention to detail and does a great time each time. Jenna is very thorough and I always get a great cut from her. I always feel like a valued customer and Jenna truly cares about me as a person. I couldn't imagine going anywhere but Lux and Jenna. more

Lux Salon has been my go to for the past 2 years now. Christina Johnson is an extremely talented stylist and I can always count on her to deliver a beautiful look. She goes out of her way to make you feel like a valued client and won't let you leave until she knows you absolutely love your look. Lux and Christina are the best in Raleigh, and I would never consider going anywhere else. more

I recently returned to Lux Salon and Jenna McLurkin cut my hair. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and she matched it perfectly. My cut was about 5 weeks ago and the style is still holding strong. I am so happy with the way Jenna cut my hair and her customer service skills were fantastic. She really took the time to consult with me and talk about what I wanted. She is an excellent stylist. THANKS JENNA!!! more

I am coming up on 4 years of being a client of Jenna McLurkin, and could not be a happier customer! From the very first cut, Jenna has always taken time to truly understand the vision I have for my look, and always delivers beautiful work. Even more important is her warm personality; she keeps a smile on her face & is always interested in what's going on in my life! Lux Salon is hands down the best salon in Raleigh, and I wouldn't trust anywhere else with my hair. :) more

I went to Lux Salon a few months ago for a cut & partial highlight. I was very pleased with the salon's customer service. My stylist Christina took the time to consult with me before the appointment. She took the time to answer all my questions and addressed my concerns about the coloring process. Christina did a wonderful job on my Deva haircut and color. I loved my haircut and color and have gotten a ton of compliments! more

I have only been going to Lux for a few months but have been very pleased with the results so far. Allison Brown does a wonderful job cutting and coloring my hair. The first time I visited, the color didn't come out quite right - I had tried a root touch-up product I bought a few days before and the result was horrible so I wasn't surprised when my roots still looked a little off. What made such a positive impression on me was that Allison immediately recognized what happened and she fixed it. The end result was perfect! Allison spends time trying to understand what it is that I want and she also works within my current budget limitations to make sure I am happy. The other members of the Lux staff are very friendly and professional as well. Very happy with Lux! more

Allison Brown (Ali) at Lux has been taking care of my hair for years. She will never let you leave her chair unless you are completely satisfied with your new cut/color. \r \r Ali is especially talented with curly hair. I have been to many stylists over the years, but always leave with a frizzy ""poodle"" look. After Ali worked her magic, those days are over!! I have never been happier with my hair. Make your appointment with her today; you will not regret it!! more

I've been going to Nicole as my hair stylist for over 8 years. She is amazing! I trust her opinion implicity on what will look best with my hair and get regular compliments on the color and cut. Nicole is very stylish and up to date with current trends, however bases her recommendations on what's best for me personally. She is a consumate professional and has never cancelled an appointment in over 8 years. Nicole works with me to fit me in whenever I need a quick bang trim or root touch up.\r \r All of ladies at Lux are great! The new salon is beautiful and hip. \r \r I strongly recommend both Lux salon and specifically Nicole! more

Great haircuts, color in warm, friendly, surroundings ! 5/28/2013

Have you ever walked into a grocery store or a restaurant or a gas station and been complimented on your hair color? That not only happens to me but it happens every single day at every store and every restaurant. On a recent outing my companion asked me if it happens all the time and I had to say yes. It is all because of Kim Twisdale Vincitorio. She has been doing my hair for years and the color is always gorgeous - not an easy feat when you are trying to turn dull brown / gray hair into red ! Moreover my hair is always something that I can do myself which says a lot since I am klutz and I have thin, fine hair. You would never know it. I can't say enough good things about Kim.\r \r The other folks at Lux are all wonderful. You might expect the best place in Raleigh to get your hair cut and or colored would be full of pretention but not so. Grab a chair.. you can't go wrong. I have been going to Lux salon now for well over a year. I came from NY. Jenna McLurkin does my hair. This girl is beautiful inside and out. She is very welcoming and attentive to your styling needs. She worked with me leading up to my daughter's wedding and got the color just right for the special day. I'm sure she will do the same for my next daughter's wedding in September! They just moved to one mile from my home on Creedmoor Road which I am thrilled about! Thanks Jenna and Lux! more

\r I love the new location and remodeled salon. It is very inviting and it has lots of parking! I missed seeing Abby Seats....hope she is still there! I have been going to Lux for several years and all of the stylists are very good. I went in today for a cut and color with Chelsea Lowery and I thought she was fantastic! She listened to what I wanted and gave suggestions when I was not sure. We talked a lot and the 2 hours plus went by very quickly. I can not say enough wonderful things about this salon!!!!! I am naturally a dull ""brunette"" (if you can even call it that) and I've been going blond for many years. However, I recently went back to my natural color and after hating it for a year I was looking for someone to get me back to blond. Kristin H. is AMAZING. She did a complete overhaul of my color and gave me the most gorgeous blond I have ever had. Her depth of understanding of color is amazing, and the cut she did is very glamorous. I have literally never been so happy with a cut and color!!! What I really appreciated about her was that she listened to exactly what I wanted and explained how we were going to achieve it. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a gorgeous color and a great haircut.\r \r The Salon itself is lovely, and although I was there for several hours during my transformation, I was comfortable and happy the whole time. \r \r Many many stars to Lux Salon and to Kristin!!!! more
