Lundy Bros. Restaurant

This Sheepshead Bay restaurant offers a seafood lover a dream menu. From lobster, to scallops, to shrimp, they also have fish. It has seen some improvement over the past couple of years, the wait service has gotten better. If you love seafood then you should make the trip and give it a try. more

Lundy Bros has a well deserved spot in the culinary archives of NYC however it appears to be currently trading on its past reputation. Until recently my last visit was about 7 years ago and then I felt that it deserved that reputation. I recently attended a function there and came away with the impression that if I had to pay for my meal I would have been very unhappy. The choices were lobster tails, rack of lamb and grilled chicken. The general consensus was lukewarm and overcooked. The mixed vegetables consisted mostly of overcooked baby carrots and a sprinkling of summer squash and Betty Crocker makes better mashed potatoes. Is the restaurant food any better than that served for special functions? Maybe but surely this is indicative of the direction that this Brooklyn legend is heading. more
