Luck Optical

Optometrist was great! Glasses ok, but office is filthy. I picked up my new glasses and a cockroach was walking on the counter. Staff just laughed and watched it, until I requested they dispose of it! Employee gave me my new glasses, handed me a card to read and that was it. Didn't want to check to see if they fit or if I could see properly. I had questions and she couldn't be bothered. Finally, a different staff member worked with me a little, but the other one dismissed me and said just come back in a week if they don't work. I won't be back. Filthy. more

Good place to get inexpensive glasses and contacts. Staff has always been nice and helpful and they get you in and out as quickly as possible. Yes it can be crowded but they are just a busy business. Never have had a problem with my perscription and the doctors are always extremely pleasant. No complaints except for the wait sometimes. more

went in today after 22 years yearly exams and glasses/contacts asking if i could purchase a pair of contacts as my new insurance kicks in, in 2 weeks. They refused saying I must have and pay for an exam today vs letting me wait 2 weeks. after pleading with them and trying to get my 22 yrs to count for something they refused to let me and said i have to pay for exam and 6 month supply. I in turn let them know if I must pay I will go somewhere else, which I went to WalMarts optical and got the service. I also let them know I would be posting negative reviews on web due to service but they seemed not to care. Spend your $$ somewhere else, you are not appreciated, just a number at Luck Optical. more

I went to Luck Optical on the reference of a family member. I ended up wasting an entire day for no benefit. Here are my chief complaints: A) The waiting room is crowded, noisy, and dirty. B) The general staff was unhelpful, and seemed to made up of incompetent teenage girls. C) The doctors and skilled staff seem less than professional, and cannot craft glasses well. I arrived at noon, and waited almost an hour to be seen by an eye doctor. The doctor gave me a prescription, which turned out to be incorrect. Upon my request, he then gave me an updated prescription. After that ordeal, I dropped off my old frames to be fitted for new lenses with the prescription he wrote... but the office broke my frames in the process. To make matters worse, Luck Optical tried to require me to buy new frames. After I complained, they finally gave me replacement frames, but they were of obvious lesser quality. After a frustrating ordeal of 5 hours, I left with glasses in lower-quality frames than I went in with, and a trial pair of contacts. Upon arriving home, I notice that the new glasses were crooked, poorly constructed, and were giving me headaches. I cannot recommend Luck Optical to anyone. It's the worst medical establishment I've ever been to. more

I was shocked when I had my eyes checked and purchased new glass and contacts. and I still cant see. I went to another eye doctor and he laughed my rx was totally wrong so I have been out double money Beety Palmeiro more

There might be a little bit of a wait when you get to Luck Optical on Camp Bowie, but the fact that there busy can be attributed to the fact that they have really super customer service and inexpensive frames and contacts. I have been going to Luck Optical for my eye exams and services since 1994 and I have never had any problems. The staff is always pleasant and the price is always right. So if you don't mind a little wait time, it is worth it. more
