I went through Lucas County Metropolitan Housing Authority when I was a young and suddenly single Mom. They found me a beautiful 2 bed/2 bath town home in the suburban part of town for less than Two hundred dollars a month! I was elated, and I lived there happily for many years. I know people complain about all the red tape that you have to go through, but it is worth it in the end. It was great comfort for me at the end of the work day to come home to a lovely apartment that was not costing me a fortune. Use them as a stepping stone, until you can afford your dream home. more
