Instructor: Durant is a serious instructor who shows you good manner of driving, but he is also humorous to let you learn with ease. He maintains his good reputation (please refer to other reviewers :-)) \r \r My experience: I did not have any driving experience before I started with Durant. I had 20 hours of driving with him before I took the road test. My lessons were wide spread to different conditions (day & night, sunny & rainy day, one hour & two hours )and I got new important tips every time. I am glad that I did so to have different experience because I do not know how the road condition is going to be for the road test. I passed the road test for first time on a raining day with Durant's car. \r \r Suggestions:\r -Durant is popular because he maintains his good reputation. Schedule your lessons a week before if you want to make sure you get the slot. \r \r -He is punctual so be on time. \r \r -If your pick up place is far away or in the area of heavy traffic, try to have two-hour lesson instead of one. \r \r -Observe the next student's driving when he/she drives you back to your pick up place. \r \r -Make your phone call short with Durant so that other student does not get too much distraction (You have to learn to immune to these kind of situations because the examiner, or when you drive in the future, you may encounter similar situations) \r \r -If you are completely new to driving, do not hurry yourself to take the road test with just few hours of driving because you will keep on having new mistakes that needs time to discover. In many countries, the basic driving hour is 20 before you go on a road test. \r \r -Try to drive in different time and conditions with Durant's special car and supervision. more

I picked Love Driving School because it had the best reviews in the area. They were right! Durant is a great instructor, very helpful. He's very honest about how you're doing. I strongly recommend Love Driving School and I passed on my first try! more

For those of you in search of a driving instructor, I highly recommend Love Driving School. Durant, the driving instructor, has over ten plus years of teaching experience. The best thing about him is that he will teach you exactly what you need to know to pass your exam, but he also emphasizes on making you comfortable while emphasizing on safety. He is patient, fair, and highly knowledgable. He understands exactly the students' strengths and weaknesses and will focus on your weakness until the individual is comfortable perfecting whatever he/she needs to get done. Moreover, Durant has a great personality so he puts people at ease in the drivers' seat. Furthermore, he is always on time so make sure you're ready when he says so. When booking an appointment with him, try and schedule a few lessons at a time because he does get booked up really fast, especially on weekends. I was a very nervous driver. I had had my permit for a long time but had been to scared to actually drive. I also needed to be an excellent driver because I have a baby and need to be extra safe in the car. My dad found Durant and love driving school. He very quickly put me at ease and helped me understand the steps involved with turning, parallel parking, and three point turns. Both my parents commented on how improved my driving was after working with him. Best of all I was able to pass the drivers test on the first try and now have my license. As someone who has tried and failed with another driving school back home, I was nervous about getting back behind the wheel. Durant at Love driving school was a fantastic teacher - explaining things clearly, giving tips, and not freaking out when I ran the odd STOP sign in my first couple of lessons. I took three hours of lessons from Durant and passed my road test on the first try. Durant not only knows what to do to pass the test, he also teaches people how to be a good and safe driver. He taught me keys to do parallel parking and I did it very well during the test. He is a very punctual person so always be ready 10 minutes before he's supposed to pick you up. more

If you happen to be in the Cambridge, MA area and feel driving is not for you,\r I urge to call Durant at 617-908-6192.\r \r I had attempted the road tests previously during\r my college days, almost 5 yrs ago and did not make\r it. Subsequently I had resigned to the belief that\r driving is not for me, until I decided to give it another\r try recently. \r \r I was searching for driving schools in the Cambridge area\r and heard about Durant and Love driving school. All I can \r say is that every accolade he has received on this \r web site is absolutely true. He is a truly gifted instructor ---\r extremely patient but knows when to challenge the student when\r required. \r \r \r I took 10 lessons from him. I only had a month left before leaving\r Massachusetts, so I had to book my lessons in batch. I had to be\r very quick in booking his lessons as the slots get filled up\r very quickly. Perhaps there are many people like me out there :)\r \r Durant unfortunately cannot help you much if you are late in signing up.\r He is always on time (even 5 mins earlier) and even accommodated some of my requests\r to change lessons whenever possible. Now that I think about it, he is probably under so much pressure, since\r he is a single person managing the whole driving school. But he was always \r cheerful with me and spent minimal time over phone. \r \r Durant taught me all the tasks I needed for the test in the first five\r lessons. We were really starting from scratch. \r The remaining 5 lessons were used to refine these tasks so that I could perform\r these tasks smoothly during the test. Despite all his help, I was totally\r nervous on the day of the road test and was even hesitant to take the test.\r Durant let me make my own decision, although in retrospect it would have\r cost him time as he had reserved that slot for me. Nevertheless he appreciated it when I decided to take the test and was very proud of me when finally I passed!!! Generally speaking, they can say ""you need more practice"" in spite that you have had enough lessons.\r If you persuade them to take a road test, they might not give you a good advice. This driving school is run by only one person.\r So, he will talk to another customer on the phone while your driving lesson.\r He will make you drive to the next student's home.\r You will be sent to your home by another student's immature driving.\r For me, he was not polite at all.\r He might cancel your lesson for his own reason without any apologies.\r He might tell you what you will need in the test at very the morning that you take it. \r \r If you like these poor service, I recommend this school Cons: Car is very dirty, instructor is rude and selfish. more

I had a wonderful experience with Love Driving School. Although I?ve waited until passing the road test to write this review, I could have written it after my first lesson. From day one, I was thrilled with the instruction that I received from Durant, which exceeded all my expectations. Durant teaches with patience, clarity, and humor. He?s very quick to understand how you, as an individual, learn best, and what your particular strengths and weaknesses are. He has a good sense of when to introduce new skills and driving situations, and when to let you practice and improve upon those that you?ve already learned. I found the pace of instruction very comfortable. It was challenging but never overwhelming, and I felt that I was always improving and gaining in confidence. The driving instructor Durant is really experienced and has a thorough understanding of the requirements of the road test. He is patient and follows a systematic approach to teaching the skills of driving. Hi, LOVE DRIVING SCHOOL is the best. I had gone to three other schools and had a bad experience with all of them. I went to Love Driving School after reading all the good reviews online. I agree with all the reviews. Durant Sir is the best. He is funny, very relaxed and focused in his job. I am really impressed with the way he teaches driving. I have become a confident driver and I enjoy driving now. All the credit for this goes to him. Like the others said, he is always on time and professional. If he is late he will call you up and let you know that he will be late. I passed my driving test today. It was a very good experience for me. Hi,\r \r I learned my driving from Durant sir and now a confident driver. I got my license in my first attempt. He never give up on any student and make sure they drive well. He is very clear, jovial ,relaxed and focused in his job. I had a very good experience with the Love School. Durant is very pleasant and funny to be around, but also has a firm (but kind) side that means that you end up learning from your mistakes pretty fast. I desperately needed to learn in a few weeks, and was very lacking in confidence about the whole thing. I took lessons, a few over 10, and passed first time. This operation is run by ONE man (named Durant) with ONE car. Transactions are under the table - when I paid up front for the ""10 hour package for $375"" (usual hourly rate = $40), Durant did not give me any receipt or contract even when I asked for one. He stated ""your check is your receipt."" (?) He seemed like an easy going guy at first so I went ahead with the lessons.\r \r Due to his packed schedule, I only got 6 hours of lessons. THE DAY BEFORE THE ROAD TEST (for which he promised to sponsor me), Durant called and said ""the car is in the garage."" He refused to give any detail or reason why the car ended up in the garage in the first place. Even though it was him who could not deliver the service he promised, he gave me an attitude over the phone with rude remarks. (I was shocked!)\r \r Bottom line, I ended up practicing on my own with my other licensed friends for hours then took the road test with a friend's car. I passed the test (mostly thanks to my friends teaching me the various types of parking). \r \r How could this ""school"" function with just ONE car? If that ends up in the garage, forget about your lessons or more importantly, the ROAD TEST! \r \r I called Durant later to get reimbursed for the 4 hours that I have not used in my ""10 hr package."" He then replied ""I don't reimburse - you are obligated to use ALL 10 hours for the package"" - a crucial detail of the transaction he neglected to mention in the beginning when I handed over the check. \r \r If I knew I have to pay $375 regardless of the actual hours used, I would have never done the package. I would have simply done the hourly rate at $40!! I urged him to be a reasonable, ethical businessman and asked him to give back $135 ($375 paid to him - $40 x 6 hrs actually used), but he sounded hostile again and kept refusing. \r \r It's a simple principle - you pay for what you get. I got 6 hours of lessons yet he has forced me to pay for 10. I still have a foul taste in my mouth from this experience. LOVE DRIVING SCHOOL , DURANT- IS THE BEST\r \r It was a Very Urgent situation for me where I had to get my license in 10 days and I found Durant last year based on 1 review .I am so happy that I choose him.I was happy, my husband ..OOH he was surprised- in first attempt-all correct. Well all thanks to Durant .He is the best and most responsible instructor I think I ever met. I got my license. I have to say, Durant is a responsible instructor. like the others said, he is always on time and professional. The day when I took the road test, me and another Durant's student, we all passed the exam. Price seems a little bit rising since the gas is more expensive, but still reasonable. more
