Louis' Restaurant

Went there tonight. Price was very high. Could not finish our food because the waiter would not refill our drinks (diet coke). Paid, left, and had to go buy a drink elsewhere to wash food down. Will not go back to this restaurant. Pros: ???? Cons: Bad Service and High Price more

I eat at Louie's ALL the time. I simply cannot get enough of it! The spaghetti with meat sauce is my absolute favorite! Although I think the prices are getting a little steep for lesser portions, I think its worth it...I'd pay for two servings! Haha! There isn't enough words to do this restaurant justice. I have grown up on the food from louis, and I have yet to come across a restraunt with better service or friendlier people. The onion rings come out in a huge mound & the spaghetti Can NOT be beat. Everything is made fresh & I love the simple salad, best Ranch I've ever Had! Pros: Everything more

Since I was 5 years old, I have been going to Louis. I can remember when there were two, side by side, my family would go 4 or more times a month. Never once do I remember a bad experience. Though in my teen years we moved to Atlanta, we always made a point to go to Louis when in town to visit friends and family. In fact, we order extra and keep it in a ice box, then have it for dinner when we get home from our trip. Now that I am married, my husband and I visit at least twice a year just for the amazing chicken parm! The spaghetti is amazing, there must be crackin the sauce, b/c I am truly addicted. The service has always been great for me, the waitresses are usually ""good ol country gals"" who will treat you like family (if you are are not rude and crazy acting). Growing up I had many crushes on the cute bus boys!!! The salads are perfect for me! Their blue cheese is awesome! (I am not a salad fan) but they are simple, but that to me is what makes them great. My family and our friends have been going to Louis for over 13 years. We love the food there!! The spaghetti is great! I have known people who go there and pick apart the service and the salad and to those people I have always said....#1 You get treated the way you deserve to be treated and #2 People do not go there for the salad(eyeroll). If you want more on it, then ask for more. They have always done what we ask them to do. We have alot of good memories from there. Ive read where one person posted that the food was poor quality and like from a can or something. I know for a fact that everything Louis serves, from the hand dipped onion rings, to the meat sauce, is made fresh everyday right there in the kitchen. I know this because the owners are my family and put a lot of hard work and effort into seeing that the food served at Louis is nothing less than great! Thanks to all the positive reviews. I recently ate down there although the food was good th4e service was not. The server was a girl called Dawn. She was rude ,did not come to see how our food was,was slow in getting our drinks. All in all I was not at the least satisified with the service at all.If I come back in there to eat I will make sure she does not wait on my table Pros: food Cons: service more

While visiting a friend in Knoxville, he suggested we visited Louis' a well known Italian restaurant in Knoxville. Although an okay place, it doesn't rank with the other two reviews posted here, at least from my perspective. I chosen the Chicken/Eggplant Parmigiana combination and was too impressed. The salad was only iceberg, but did have perhaps the best bleu cheese dressing I've had in a long time, the not authentic garlic bread was too much like something you'd get from the grocery store, and the entree was comprised of two previously frozen items: a piece of thinly sliced, heavily breaded eggplant and a ground chicken oval that was also heavily breaded and flavorless. The much-touted marinara sauce had little flavor and, rather than being red and ""tomatoey,"" appeared to have been thickened with flour. And the spaghetti with more of the previously mentioned sauce was overcooked. Accompanying the dish were two well-prepared onion rings, perhaps the best thing on the plate. Rather than tasting homemade and flavorful, too much appeared to come directly from the commercial freezer and a can. Not on my recommended list. Pros: attentive service Cons: food and quality more
